A little more detail would help here.

Native resolution is the big factor here, not screen size. Using a 32" TV with 1080p output but a native panel resolution of 720p will give drastically inferior results to a proper 2560x1440 display and will result in the blurry interlaced text you are experiencing.

If your 32" display is actually a repurposed TV, get shot of it and get a proper monitor on the go. As mentioned by many, QHD (2560x1440) is the sweet spot for most.

Personally I use a 34" ultra wide alongside a 27" in portrait with the secondary display bi-wired to both the PC and Mac.

1366 is the only resolution I can run where it doesn't look like crap. I guess that's where the problem lies. I'm used to console where all of this is done for me. I did about an hour worth of moving around the HUD since it wants to push everything towards the center.

These replies are not what I expected. Such small monitors...which does make sense to me considering how close you are to it. I like to lean back into the chair and play with a controller due to shoulder and wrist injuries (thanks Army), so I'm probably a good 5-6 feet away from my screen.
