They really need to just add more than a few wards LOL

Adding more wards will do nothing but provide the house flippers a reliable on-going platform to sell their ill-gotten goods. Just another MB to tie up and set costs. Only long term solution is instanced housing which in this antiquated game, is not likely because it takes real effort.

I'm sure if SE took a poll across all servers the reaction would be mostly positive. There were a lot of angry people when individual players were not allowed to purchase homes. However, not that the moratorium has been lifted, pretty much all the complaints are coming from people on the same one or two servers.

It would make no sense for SE to add housing when they're wards on other servers that are half full or ghost towns. They need to solve the population disparity between servers first. Then they can sit down and decide how much housing the average server needs and how often they need to add it based on growth. They may eventually need to do what they did in FF XI, give people fair warning, offer some incentives like a couple of wards just for transfers (if possible) next time they add housing, and then split these high populated servers.

But adding more wards will just give a lot of the other servers more empty plots. Larges and mediums occupied but all other plots empty.

Every time you ask for more wards they have a reason to delay any other content associated with housing, they did so for ishgard housing already.

If housing is that important to you switch off balmung with your friends. My server has still a few hundreds houses left small and middle. Ghost towns inc.

I really need to take screencaps just to show how much the population and housing demand slants on a lowbie server since just saying over a hundred houses, even in prime spots, even mediums and larges, are open seems a total impossibility, and yet, I'm looking at relocating to the exact spot I want in Lavender Beds with the plot open is 7 wards. Even I thought so, thus why I camped and bought an odd location in the first place. I just wanted a house.

Stop telling people to switched servers, that's horrible. My server used to have tons of people. could always find people to do fates with and hunts. Now most zones are dead because of the incentive to change servers and we are supposed to be a "high population server" yet there is still no housing open. If there are a bunch of servers with a lot of open house's they need to combine servers not ask people to switch. That will destroy games more then anything is not having anyone on your own server to do anything with.

I'm not telling anyone to switch servers, that is completely and totally their call. I simply brought it up as an option.

I'm loving the new wards, SE did a great job with the 1/1 house limit per account and the random rebuy timer to curb house flipping. After moratorium was lifted, most of the Ward my FC is in was bought up by members or by people in our femroe LS.

Plus there are still around 100 plots open last I checked, so overall I'd say the new wards are working out wonderfully.

So as predicted.. multiple times, buy -alot- of people on every single server. SE, you changing the systems did not work -again-. Like how many more times are we going to have to tell you, You need to add personal player housing. Because just look, within the first day of the lifting of personal housing limitations. All wards were full again and we're up to 18 wards, Don't you understand this is gonna have to end eventually?

Not on Cactuar. It took over 24 hours after personal purchases were allowed for the wards to fill up again. There are servers that to this day still have plots available. Your issue seems to be a Balmung-only issue.
