That's cool, I'm gonna believe the guy who plays on Cerberus and censors the word "sex" about what happens on Balmung versus what I, a player on Balmung for the past two years, experience. I'm not sure who is actually the limited one here.At this point i'm not sure if you are so "limited" so you dont get what others are saying or you are just trolling... We all know how things will go on your server - give us more houses, better apartments... then will come more large houses, more Shirogane houses, more people simultaneously online (e.g. higher population allowance), more... more... more... give... give... give... an endless and vicious circle what will never end. The fact is many people from Balmung will never stop complaining and they will just jump from one request to another. However you try hard after the last patch you will never get the momentum you guys had before and its time to accept this fact for the simple reason you are alone in your situation.

*waves* Hi, um, not sure why you're singling out Balmung for this. There have been lots of people already complaining about how they could only get a small house and it wasn't a Shirogane house and how Shirogane needs more wards and how we need more medium and large houses. That is not a future Balmung problem. Balmung is stuck in the pre-4.2 problem of "we need more houses". All the other servers are doing what you're talking about now. We (in NA, maybe EU and JP to a lesser extent?) live in a society where people feel they should get everything they want just because they want it. While I can understand the whole, "lol Balmung, if you want a house transfer servers" thing (I can even support that some, though I understand how hard it can be to leave friends behind transferring and can imagine how awful it would be leaving behind the best RP community in ffxiv to some mediocre one somewhere else hoping you could grow it into something decent, got way off track here, back to what I was saying), I really can't be ok with you singling out Balmung for behavior that we're currently seeing from many other servers. We all know how things will go on your server - give us more houses, better apartments... then will come more large houses, more Shirogane houses, more people simultaneously online (e.g. higher population allowance), more... more... more... give... give... give... an endless and vicious circle what will never end. They could take entire FC and all the friends and maybe even other FC's with them while they transfer. The only people what have any reason to stay are the ones who already have a house, but i'm sure we dont see them complaining.
Speaking of other RP communities... you actually said if isnt Balmung you suck and no one wants to go there. Well ok, i'm sure many RP's will not agree with you but you have right to your opinion.
Instanced housing where the player picks the size and all houses come with a large yard is the only fix. Creating new wards is not going to fix the housing issue because there will always be more smaller houses than the demand and there will never be enough large houses to fill the demand (with the current Ward set up).
Stop arguing over which server is in more despair and realize that wards do not work.
Try and get SE to switch to an instanced housing system as a supplement to housing wards.
Related to a degree, but it was mostly a starting point for the rest of my post. But...more/better apartments, and people would be content with them? I don't see a down side to that at all. Probably easier to make another round or 2 of those anyway, even in larger sizes.
This seems to be mainly a US problem. People will just have to accept on the higher populated servers that it has its plus sides and down sides. You have more people to RP with but resources are a fixed amount. On expansion or patch day launches you will be facing a higher queue then other servers, and there are more people who will want a house. The FC's that needed a house got one, be it small, medium or large. The rest is just entitlement.
Instanced housing would hurt RP'rs the most I recon, since it would destroy the natural and vibrant atmosphere of housing wards, as everyone is hosting RP events.
Take a step back, learn that you can RP without a house. And if you really want a house regardless, then RP an exodus to a different server with some of your friends, settle down in the promised land... it can be a great RP story.
Not everyone can afford the $18 transfer fee, so it's not that easy to just take everyone with you. The days of free transfers are over. There are no more congested servers, yet.
I've actually seen quite a few people on Balmung who have a house complaining about how they need more houses, probably because they still have many friends who want houses and can't get them. Some of them say it took forever for them to get a house, so they understand the plight of others, so they're hoping to get SE to help change things. There are many different reasons that people would argue for change, and they are not all selfish. The only people what have any reason to stay are the ones who already have a house, but i'm sure we dont see them complaining.
What I said was there is no other server with such an established RP community. That's a fact. If someone from Balmung went to any other server, the RP community would be lacking by comparison. Does that mean they suck? No, not even close. It just means they don't have the size and the ability to do everything that people are used to on Balmung. It also means it would be a huge quality of RP life adjustment for people transferring to a new server and that if they wanted something like what they had before, then they would have to help build up the RP community wherever they transferred.Speaking of other RP communities... you actually said if isnt Balmung you suck and no one wants to go there. Well ok, i'm sure many RP's will not agree with you but you have right to your opinion.

It's going GREAT on Ultros! Me and about 80 of my friends, FC mates, and LS friends all got the plots of our dreams! We still have beachfront mist smalls, lav beds smalls, and Goblet smalls and mediums just sitting here marinating, wanting a home owner. Won't someone please come to Ultros and adopt one of these adorable plots today? We have 300+ waiting for you .
Sure... Give me the gil for the plot+house, and I'll be happy to transfer one of my characters there. LOL.It's going GREAT on Ultros! Seriously though, this housing patch has been great. My FC barely had enough gil saved for a small FC house, and got a great one in LB. (We suck at making money lol.) So, it's been a great patch (except perhaps for the whiners on Balmung, but they're just one server and don't deserve special treatment.)
Jeri. I swear to God, if you make, or transfer an alt to ultros, I'll buy you a small plot and houseI just want a neighbor haha
