More seriously it is a good thing i did lately concentrate on solo leveling my fighting and crafting jobs, and didn't do much instanced content except for the valention one. I would so hate getting banned because some people in my group would use this exploit without telling the others what is going on.

People won't get banned for this, too many factors to consider and the PR blowout would be way too much. Considering people who might have jump potted or etc might of thought it was just a variation of LB.((wishing SE would explore making LB buffs)) but yeah glad it was fix but nothing will happen..... now how bout them bots?

What else do you expect? Bots have been around longer than the exploit. The message you send by keeping them around is that the policy is the same as for other third party apps like parsers:"Don't tell and you're fine."

Personally, I'd go through the logs to see who used the ability outside of the intended content, make a brief check whether the use was trivial or not and then issue warnings to those who used it in trivial content and temp ban those who used it in non-trivial content.

And I'd go for a similar approach for bots. Used a bot to quietly gather your own materials without selling them? Temp ban or warning, depending on how long they did it. Selling materials materials/crafts en masse or botting in PvP? Perma.

But that's just me. Rule violations generally should be punished depending on the severity of the damage done.
