Yes, a good portion of us agree with this but this topic has been discussed to death by now. It has been reviewed, and answered by the Dev Team. They have "no time" to spare on the character creation and also want to keep racial identity. Basic PR saying that they got better things to do.

They either go with that or their default excuse "server limitations". With a company as big as them they should be able to meet the demand and then some, but they simply choose not to. The cash shop for this game is ridiculous. Where's the money going? Not back into the game, that's for sure.

It's been spectulated that all the subscription money goes to the parent company Square Enix.
Who then give the FFXIV devs a budget out of it to work with.
How much? We have no idea.

But, I do believe the devs have said in the past that mog station purchases go directly to them.
And those are what funded the datacenter moves, out of canada to california and over in the EU.

This game is funding XV's bs of more DLC. That's where it's going sadly.. I like XV but the DLC is ridiculous.. The dumb game is nearing 100 GBs on platforms now...
