Disappointing Rank 8 Reward of Ananta Tribe

Oh, another thing:

The only complaint I have about this mount is that the game makes ZERO mention of it becoming available in the shop. Normally whenever anything is added to it, a message pops up saying so, but when I hit rank 8 all I got was the message about increased EXP from daily quests.

Really easy to miss out on it unless you just happened to check the shop again despite not getting any message for it, especially so considering that the tribe already gave you a marid mount and therefore you might not even be expecting another mount (as far as I remember, every other tribe up until now has only given one mount)

I like the griffin, I don't have HW collector's edition so this is a nice addition for me.

thing is if you're really into mount collecting people in the know know that the Ananta would give two mounts. plus the npc's shop items can be seen on sites like garlandtools so it's all there out in the open.

It was a 'win' for me. Im pretty indifferent to the Ananta beast tribe armor. The griffin is cooler than the elephant. SO getting that at tier 8 was plenty fine with me. To each their own, though.

I really like the Griffin but beast costumes are cool too.

I was expecting a costume that looked more like the kojin and not a themed armor, but its something.

usually you get a mount of what you ride on for the quests, so technically it is mentioned... a lot (there has been an instance where we didn't get mount but the rest we always got what we rode for quests.)

I guess the Parade Chocobo must be a huge middle finger for those who bought the ARR Collectors Edition, too.
Depending on the type of Collectors Edition you got, it's not much of a middle finger (if physical, you got a bunch of stuff outside of the game). I'm willing to 'forgive' SE on making this griffin available for everyone, as I was pretty miffed about the physical collectors edition being around $300 in Australia.

It's good for people who didn't or couldn't get the collectors, but it's another case of SE giving zero fugs. I eagerly await the day cash-shop only items become acquirable in-game and the complaint storm rolls in

I would like to point out that it's also the least useful reputation ever, aside the one time buy, the only thing for sells are venture coins and the housing vendors.
At least you can buy some crafting materials with the earlier ones.

I get the feeling that they wanted to change a bit the rewards with the anantas, but I feel like they missed the mark and/or that they did not change enough.
I don't agree that they should given us clothes of the tribe since imho there's not enough to make a worthwile set beside the obvious problem of impersonating a tribe without tail, still there could've been different approaches like Jewelry as it is stated that anantas are great at metalworking they could have given us unique accessory glamor and/or weapon glamour and let's not forget that they could've allowed us to buy their beds.

Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the story ride and I really like the idea of changing the world but I think that the rep as a whole is disappointing because as I said earlier it doesn't really give much about anantas at least for my taste and the rewards are, still in my opinion, on the poor side
