I'll pay exactly $0 because SUBS

I'm not going to pay additional fees for functionality that ought to be baseline. The more reasons I'm given to do so, the more reasons I have to unsub.
Now, personally I'd have preferred a more 1.x-ish model in the first place, where gear sets simply get more restricted as you advance in armor classes, not as you descend, but come with their own stat advantages and disadvantages. If there's a bikini-clad tank option, I want that to be solely for an agile, evasive style of tanking from within that given job. If you're going to take hits like you're wearing thick plate mail, you need to be wearing some form of plate mail. I realize I'm in a minute minority, though.
That said, if there is to be no modicum of realism or effect-as-portrayed anyways, then I see no reason why anything other than artifact sets ought to be thus job-restricted. MNK/SAM, NIN, and DRG gear are frequently indistinct, and, in the few cases they are, still usually sufficiently realistic for the other classes' use and would thereby be enjoyable, different options.
Would I do it? Hell no. I'm not even paying for extra retainers.
Would whales do it? Hell yes. They're what the entire optional service line relies on.
Of course I wouldn't pay for this. It should be standard.
Also, somone on page one mentioned making anything you can put into the dresser become level 1 and jobless? Hell yes, that would make me actually use the bloody thing. Yeah yeah, artifact, I get it, just don't let AF armor go into the dresser in the first place, and don't let anything in the armoire be given that same treatment, just the dresser. Anything else though, should be fair game. Fair, level one, jobless game.
Nope. Not saying that I have never purchased anything for this game separate from the sub, but those have all just been glamour items. Not the ability to do anything. That is a slippery slope that I'd prefer us not going any farther down regardless of it being solely for glamour or not. The leveling potions on the cash shop are slippery enough, so let's just leave it at that and not start asking SE to charge us extra for the ability to glamour more effectively.

Just as an update, XI allows cross-job glamouring (including AF). Here is my THF wearing WHM AF for example:Artifact Armour (AF) on the other hand, is Job restricted for a reason, that is it's whole purpose, AF originated in FFXI, and the whole point of it both in FFXI and here in FFXIV is to allow the player to take on the traditional appearance of that Job from past FF games (such as WHM is a white robe with red triangles, DRG is purple draconic armour etc), which, if it could suddenly be worn by any Job, it wouldn't be depicting that Job's appearance now would it?
XIV is all about fan service at this point, and so I think cross-job glamouring will become a thing eventually. They're probably waiting for when their potato servers can handle it :P
To answer the question of OP though, I don't know if I'd pay for it. At least I'd hope I wouldn't pay for it as I feel they are nickle and dimeing this game to death as it is. I really, really hope cross-job glamouring becomes a thing. It's a pointless restriction in my opinion and should be included included in game for free.

The glamour cross the same disciple jobs should be available.
I want to wear few pieces of the DRG armour because they look cool but i cant as DRK, it should be available for the same disciple.
I just want the cute scholar bottoms, the skirt and knee socks, available for a non-healing class.
