Iron Chef may mean someone who 'cooks' up things with metal. So it could be Blacksmith, Armourer (less likely) or, given to give it a Godbert flavour, Goldsmith. Godbert does have a mustache after all!
Maybe this is all just a Bobby Flay Cosplay event?
Well gee, I guess we'll need to figure out a suitable replacement if we weren't around to get the mustache in the first place. So uh

The dyes were not mogstation exclusive, they were obtainable through retainers (General-purpose versions)
False Mustache is also not mogstation exclusive, if one did the event.
So at least it's not 100% mogstation, but it definitely is giving mogstation as a way.
And we're not 100% sure this is BiS, so pray deeply that other options like Couerl Mask gives same rating.
Both are dyeables too.
I mean, the link I posted above ^ makes it sound like it's BiS! Otherwise I can't imagine why they'd post an apology preemptively.
Personally, I'm fine with most of this stuff, I've been playing since Beta so the dyes and event items aren't a bother. But I can definitely see why new players are the ones questioning why all this stuff is from real money. I'd be upset also, in the same shoes.
As others have pointed out before though: You dont need BiS for every slot to get a decent reward (or even the "best" reward, aka maximum MGP) each week. Get the achievment once and you're done with a 100% BiS - and you can wait with that til its a week when you do have most pieces and maybe even the dyes, from ventures, at hand already.I mean, the link I posted above ^ makes it sound like it's BiS! People seem obsessed with getting 100 points every week and I dont get it...
I do get the involvment of glamouritems like the False Mustache or even something like the need of having a Lucis-Tool though - if they'd limit the Fashion Report to all those easly obtained items, figuring out the clues would become very boring very fast. So I can see why they would draw from every piece of gear we have in the game - including those that you cant get if you havent done the event back in the days.
BiS is not needed to "win" here - I would agree thats a bit fishy and annoying when it comes to rare dyes though, but even for those there are cheaper options. If you're okay with not reaching the 100 every week.
I'm only half trying to defend this btw - I'm more urging everyone whos upset about this, to look at the whole thing and relax about it. Its a minigame that you can win with a score of 80+ points. And that can be achieved by not spending any real money and probably without spending a lot of gil aswell.
My motivation is weirder. I want it to be easier for people to get points, even better if BiS, from items that can be traded. It gives a life to a section of market board which is quiet. I'm just excited of all the trading and speculative buying/selling that's going on, and I'd hate to see it die down because the items are hard to get or p2w so people lose motivation and not bothering w fashion report.
I'm already seeing less speculative buying/selling this week in my server, although part of it is because most of our guesses are untradables.
