    I don't like or dislike them, to me they are mostly forgettable I'm just saying that we are on 4.2 and not 2.2, IF we were ,I would agree that the content was too much tied to them, but atm it's really not, I think the last FATE I partecipated was ixion a couple of months ago or maybe the new year one I don't remember

    Thats a good thing then. Like I said before its a PTSD thing from back WHEN it was overused. We just dont want to go back to that. Can we haz new systemz peese?

    Honestly I can already say that if camping, rng, zerg and grind is not your cup of tea I don't think Eureka will really be that game changer

    That is unless there are really some quests to do apart monster hunting. And if there is a real value in the reward, imho however creating a new system is easier said than done since most of the time you can reduce everything to FATE if you really want, afterall FATEs ARE (some of them) NM with a mark in the map.
    They could implement a way to avoid zerging it but with gaming nowadays it is kinda hard to succed at it, though the elemental system MIGHT work in this way, since we are limited to the amount of respec AND the EXP penalty is quite bold.

    Camping, RNG, Zerg, and grind are all fine with me for this content. I dont have an issue with some of the mechanics of FATE's its the giant blue indicator circle that I dont want to see. New systems would be nice and we will be getting that with Eureka in all the ways that I am looking forward to. Having the occasional FATE circle in Eureka wouldnt be a complete write off either as long as there are other things going on for the NM's. From what they have said so far i don't think that would be the case, probably closer to Hunts and thats fine cause its not FATE's.

    The complaints about FATE's are all about the FATE's themselves. Only those defending FATE's are equating them to hunts, kill mob, zerg, etc which are some of the mechanics of FATE's but not a FATE. Its like I said I hate Ice cream cones cause they are messy, I dont want to eat my ice cream from a cone then being told "You just dont like ice cream then." No, I didnt say that, I'll happily eat my ice cream from a bowl, I just dont like how messy ice cream cones are. "but bowls of ice cream is still ice cream and can also be messy, so eating ice cream from a bowl just wont be for you."

    It wasn't my intention to endorse the reducing a content to the lowest common denominator thing more stating that some ppl do that and has been done on the forum in the past, I do believe that nuances in a content makes a difference

    Yes they use them less right now but someone asked why we are against Fates if they happen to be in Eureka which is why we responded why we dont like them. And the amount of fates I had to do for quite some time was just enough to have me dislike them and see them as too much of a part of this game..so I would not want them or something quite similiar in Eureka thus in another relic hunt..

    So my opinion might be flawed to you but its still my opinion and your answers wont change my feelings about fates..they might be less now but it took them long enough and they are still often part of events..I mean the yokai one was in 3.x so its not thaaat long ago either. And if they will put something similiar in Eureka then this will die as fast as Diadem. Which was for most another fate farm, thus another point that was not that long ago...somewhere at the end of 3.x I think. So you are kinda wrong too since fates have been in major new content even after 2.2. And having to zerg monsters in fates in Diadem 2.0 and hoping that an EM would pop was probably one of the big reason why that content died so fast. (Next to the bad rewards for that)

    The fact that you have an opinion doesn't mean you cannot be criticized for it

    You say that in 3.x series FATEs have been used as a mayor content but they've been used 3 times in 2 years that's hardly overusing them, if you compare how much and where they were used like in beast tribes, 24 man quest and hildibrand, none of which is tied to FATEs anymore also the relic quest had an extensive use of them and anima weapons bar the crystals (and let's add the light final step since we are nitpicking) step was at a very low FATE integration.

    So yes, the notion that FATEs are used too much in the game is factually wrong nowadays, that you like or don't like FATEs it's not my problem, I won't shave my head in sorrow if they were to disappear frankly I simply challenge this notion of overusing since the facts DO NOT support it

    Personally, I don't mind grinding or even fates. The only thing I don't like is doing stuff without having progress.

    However if this is to get relic chizzle I won't mind.

    But, there will be many people who are going to be upset if it's just killing stuff (fate style).
    And the fact that it has been delayed a million times. The more you delay the higher the expectations will be.
    No matter how great Eureka will be, they will never be able to reach the expectations that's been set.

    Look at what happened to FFXV. I loved that game, I really did. But, it has been delayed so many times and a lot of people where expecting more (even unrealistic stuff like things that aren't even possible with today's game technology) but, the more you delay the higher the expectations will be.

    All will be about Elemental Wheel.
    According to the monster(s) you fight, your job, your party number (alone, 4, 8), your level compared to the monster level , and the actual situation of the fight (tank lost aggro, healer dead, AOE from boss, etc.,), each player will need to adjust his elemental wheel.
    And maybe, we could add weathers, or some specific conditions.
    One example I have in mind is : Brachiosaure or Behemoth Meteor.
    The one who tank will be in full resistance when the other will be in full damage, more or less.
    It depend if there are often aoe damage not avoidable, around the boss.
    But, if a meteor (big aoe damage) is casted, those who don't adjust their elemental wheel to go for full resistance will be one shot.
    Just think about it.

    from the prewiew they've shown that you can slot 5 levels on each element and you have a cap of 20 levels for now, also the wheel is set that you can have max defense and attack agaisnt 1 type of enemy

    Anything else can be speculations territory, what if NM can change their elemental property?, what if weather has also an effect on us? That tornado that was seen in the water zone is just decoration or something we need to be aware of?
    We'll see however aside mob farming we know nothing of what else to do there
