I wish they'd do this too. I more often than not find myself in the middle of a gathering node or in a fight and have to try and get done fast enough.

On the same note, why can't the darn thing just switch crafting classes without having to close the crafting log every time you need to do a recipe on a different job? That gets super frustrating when crafting higher level stuff where it takes several classes to make all the components.

I try to keep my activities to a minimum when I queue as a dps. I don't do levequests or anything that might "lock me in" until its done. If I'm crafting, I make sure its something I can use quick synthesis or an easy craft. If I'm sidequesting, I avoid the multi-arc ones (they usually have cutscenes and whatnot.)

The shorter my queue, the less I do.

EDIT: I mean ideally, yes it'd be nice if the game had a feature that auto-switched you once you click yes. I'm definitely not against such an idea and I would welcome it with open arms. But until then, I'd rather take cautionary steps to avoid losing my spot.

If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

The most logical reason: the crafting "station". You can't very well cook on a Leatherworking table now can you? Also it takes only a few seconds tops to close the log, change classes, and bring it back up. If that annoys you I hate to see what something that takes several seconds does o.o

When I would run as DPS, I would sometimes hop into a FATE to 'make' the queue pop For some odd reason, the queue pops up when you don't want it to (doorbell, phone rings, engage a mob, etc.)

Like another poster said on another "problem", this is a lot of hot air over a non-issue.

Anyone ever go to the Kitchen to make something and count to around 40 seconds while you're making whatever and then go back and check if queue popped and repeat? :3

If wasting a lot of time, either doing nothing or risking the auto-withdrawal if you won't make it in time, is a non-issue to you, then I'm not sure I share your definition of an "issue" is. Especially since the time it takes for you to finish whatever you are doing is wasting further time for those waiting on you, even if you WILL manage to finish on time.

It is something that have workarounds, yes. But so did glamour all this time, so do the past mounts that didn't have flying, so did the timer on chocobo companion being called, the colorblind mode for astral fire/umbral ice, even the extra inventory. All of these are more "quality of life" updates that could be bypassed by one way or another. You could use the old glamour system repeatedly using prisms, one for each type of clothing, instead of using a unified prism for anything or using the new glamour. You could use a different mount that could fly in places where it is available. You could have opened the companions screen to see the time left. You could remember the last action you used thus keeping track of what you actually have on as a black mage. And, last but not least, you could continue maintaining your inventory by getting rid of useless trash or selling what of it can be sold, using market board to buy the crafting items as need arises instead.

And all of these were dealt with because they could help. Because there was no reason not to implement them. Some were smaller, some were larger updates. Some will never affect majority of the players (chocobo companions aren't as widely used, most people are not color blind and even some of those won't ever use black mage, there are players that don't even care about glamour, or even if they do, it's just setting on one every few months, and there are players that have LOADS of inventory space open cause they don't care about crafting and glamour, the two major space-takers).

So yes, it's not a game-breaking issue, but it IS an issue. And updating this system will help making the gaming experience feel smoother.
