I managed to relocate my FC estate from a mansion in Mist to an cottage in Shirogane.

This shouldn't happen with all of the prompts and clearly labelled buttons. How can you click on relocate Free Company and then ignore the warning... i mean it displays the estate address you want to use to relocate as well.

And if one of your company members accidentally bought themselves a shirogane mansion, they wont mind giving it up later for you to relocate, unless they bought it on purpose which is highly likely.

You would be surprised what lack of sleep and overexcitement can do to a person, leave it to SE to open up wards early in the morning... My condolences for you OP, you should be able to relocate back if you have the gil.

Our FC leader disabled FC relocation right as soon as we secured a mansion because we have no tangible reason to relocate.

By disable do you mean there's an actual function to turn that off? Or does that mean just removing the permissions from ranks?

Never owned a house before, was stressed to get an shirogane plot after I was informed there was one open, other people arriving at the plot made me misclick on relocation of my own estate (which I obtained a minute earlier in Goblet) and the free company estate.
Didn't have the gil in hand to get the plot back, so it's probably gone for good unless SE adds more wards.

Friend and I run our FC, and when we were relocating our personals a few weeks back we specifically took away our own FC relocation privileges (and she even promoted her alt to FC leader and temporarily demoted herself! Since as the technical FC leader she couldn't take that permission from herself) just to prevent relocating our FC Shiro mansion to the lots we were going for. We felt silly and paranoid at the time but seeing it happen to people just tells me it was the right call.

Because if this is true then i dont feel sorry for you. Instead of be happy to get any house, once you got one you quickly become greedy and start chasing "a better position".

I know a couple people who have bought a "throwaway" small plot in order to obtain another plot they wanted, using relocation to bypass the timer on their desired plot. Since the "throwaway" plots are already devalued, they save a little bit of money too. 5-6m for a small plot this way, I believe.

In other words they went to extent to f**k up other players so they can satisfy their greed, because their plot what is left now have a random timer.

As I understand the story, she was trying to buy a house in Shirogane, she thought they sold out so she bought a house in Goblet. Someone then told her there was a house still available in Shirogane, so she tried to relocate her house there and never having been a house owner before made a misclick and moved the wrong house. To go from "settling" to learning that you can get what you wanted but thought you'd have to wait and chase can cause anyone to be a bit on edge. I feel really bad for her.

I wouldn't call trying to go back to plan A after you already implemented plan B being greedy.

They should of made it so you can only buy one house within an amount of time. That way we don't have people grabbing one in one area then running to relocate to a new making it so other players can't buy the original

They sort of have. There's a cooldown on relocation, you can only buy/relocate once every 5 minutes. I mean that's still 12 an hour, but if anyone actually did that, it's a lot of wasted money!
