Restrictions Being Lifted on 20th Feb

I'm mainly worried whether I should take my chances in the Shirogane Ward that my FC is in, which has 16 openings, or see if there is an emptier Ward in the Goblet. I have no idea what the housing rush is like on Coeurl. :/ that's what I'm having trouble deciding on.

If you plan to be on when the servers get back up I would at least try for a house in the area you want, but be prepared to rush to the other area. Take notes on the most empty wards/subdivisions and know how to get to each place.

Do you guys think that we will get kicked out of the ward when the patch comes in? I parked myself outside my ideal plot but am just afraid things might no go as smooth.

I doubt they'll do that. Just make sure you know how to get to the plot by heart if you end up outside the ward and teleport in from outside the ward a few times to practice. Nothing like loading in and having to take a few moments to get your barrings straight.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I'm thinking Shirogane is going to fill up faster and people,won't be scrambling to the Goblet out f the gate when they login. I'm pretty hopeful that if I get on in the first 20 minutes, I should find SOMETHING.

I do wish there were a way to teleport to the Goblet directly from Shirogane instead of having to beeline it through Uldah then head to the Gate of the Sultana. :/

I'm a survivor of the various Coeurl rushes. You don't have to settle for Goblet on Coeurl if you're just interested in a small, Shiro is going to take the brunt of the rush but if you don't get a Shiro plot then you'll be able to wander the other wards somewhat leisurely. Smalls usually take a while to fill up (the mediums are going to be gone in a blink though).

That said we've had extra people come in thanks to the preferred world status so it might be a bit different than rushes past but don't sweat it too hard. Pick a plot in each zone you'd like to try for, pick the order of zones, and follow that and you'll be good.

Teleport to Uldah, click the big aethryte and teleport to the ward of your choice from there. It's also the easiest way to browse the wards since you can observe all wards and subdivisions from there. Works for all cities and all residential districts.

Do you have a friend with a house in the goblet? You can tele to their place if they have teleports open to friends.

Yes, you can However you have to do the quest for each housing district to unlock the teleport from their respective aetheryte, so if you haven't done it, you'll need to do the quest 'Where the Heart Is (The Goblet)'. It should be in the little hamlet right outside the entrance to Goblet. Once you do that you can teleport using the main aetheryte.

All the Shiro wards are going to get filled up fast. That was what happened in 4.1. Everyone dogpiled into Shiro and the other wards took a while longer to fill. If the Goblet is your second choice, you won't have any problems there. The Goblet is traditionally the last ward to fill (heck there was even at least one large available in it until I think yesterday I didn't check today) so you're not going to have any issues picking up a small there if you can't get a Shiro small.

Someone in my FC said at 4.1 it took 2 hours for the Shirogane wards to fill. Not sure what journey definition of fast is lol. His is 1 hour. If I jump in ASAP, would I probably have a good shot at getting one of the 16 smalls in my FC ward before the half hour mark? Or less time than that?

It's kind of useless guessing, they'll fill as quick as they fill. Just do your best to login fast and have a backup plan in place.

Kacenova, is little nervous which is to be expected, if he was not used to the rush like before. I understand this too. The best advise is try your best and if you don't succeed there is always next. This is and always will be issues for SE in this regard. But I hope you get your plot, small is a good option for first time buys who are tight on a budget. good luck man.
