    Something else that might be fun to add would be the new Primal Egi skins to this content and have roaming Primals appear in the zone. That's just a fantasy thought but would be something else that could be added in to generate interest. I know I'm waiting for proper egi glamors before i even touch my ARC/SMN, more than just coloured Carbuncles.

    Any thoughts as to what else SE could put in here for rewards that could help keep it alive and vibrant?

    Making it a contested zone and adding PvP could be fun but I know that would immediately turn a lot of people off. That kind of thing would be great to add for those who enjoy that type of content (just like Eureka is for the FFXI crowd) but have it in its own zone with its own rules and its own rewards.

    No please dont put things like the egi glamour behind that. Such things should be achievable outside of it.

    I am not sure what SE can put in this to make it live long. In the end it does have to be fun because even the RNG weapon in Diadem 2.0 was not enough to keep people playing it, especially thanks to the massive amount of RNG. So if they have rewards maybe it would be better to not have them behind countless of RNG layers because that wont motivate most of the people. Maybe they could add minions to that, so that every NM has its own minion and you get it after you kill it x amount of time. (But only if you can kill those without needing a full group or it will get impossible to get them later on)

    A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.

    Really the only reason I was thinking this is because they could use this as an opportunity to make it more interesting than a fetch quest, solo kill, mechanic to earn it. Below is a quote from waaaaay back in the development cycle between 1.X and 2.X. I just felt like, if this was still going to be implemented and not totally dropped by now, Eureka would be a great place to do it and a reward from doing this would be an egi glamor. I'd still like to see this implemented but doubt we will see it. It would also be something fun to bring to the NM fights for one big Limit Break-esque attack, heck, even without adding egi glamors as a reward I would like to see this in Eureka.

    Regarding Roaming Primal content and full on Primal Summoning

    “The players will get together in their Free Companies [guilds] and they will fight Ifrit. If they defeat him, they will get the opportunity to summon him once. That Free Company will get to decide where and when to use him.     I get the feeling Eureka will die no matter what unless they constantly add content. POTD lives on because:

    A. The random nature keeps some interest.
    B. Lots of weapons and items to collect.
    C. You can level any class there.

    I think Eureka would've been better off with a real 'brand new system' rather than 'level several more times'.

    As for PVP, I totally support adding world PVP to the game in some aspect, however the number of people I have seen supporting this kind of thing has been in the minority by a lot. I know people on my server abhor it even if it doesn't affect them, shouting it down even when it's a zone that's off to the side and has no reward. If something exists, someone will complain about it, but I mean this was some really impassioned negativity. Like not even giving it a chance or anything and not even giving the idea a chance.

    I agree with MilanFrozen. With Palace of the death you had randomness, then a bit of a challenge after 100+ and next to getting lots of glamour, minions and a mount (and other stuff) you could level up your jobs with that and if you are fine with it taking it a bit longer you could do that without needing someone else with you. I for example like that because I am not much of a dungeon fan or group content with randoms so I could use that to level my tanks (which I am just bad at) on my own time.

    With Eureka you wont be able to level up your jobs and you kinda only need it for relic weapons. If you then have only a certain amount of time to play the game you will either have to stop doing anything else in the game and only do the content in Eureka which will only give you a weapon (and gear) at the end...or you wont do that content and just level up other stuff.

    With the old relics it was not that nice if a huge amount of fates where the only way to get stuff but for me it was fine when we had steps where you could gain the items in different ways. You kinda could do the rest of the game together with your weapon. Now you just get the weapon but in this time you cant do anything else in the game. You cant raise the dungeon counter, gather seals or level up something. So I am also not sure if it was such a great idea to put the relic weapon only behind that content.

    Have they said if this has FATEs in it? I really and truly would have to ask the development team "what the heck, people?!" if there are FATEs in this. And if there are FATEs, can I do I have alternatives to them so I can get things done in Eureka?

    I have done thousands upon thousands of FATEs and am utterly sick of them. I cringe every time I hear its detestable fanfare music and indications. I hate them so much. Its fine if they are an option for those who like them, but I just want them far away from me.

    Not FATES as we know them, from what I understand. There wont be a big blue circle on the map guiding you by the nose to each location you need to be but the NM's claiming system will use the same mechanics as FATES meaning everyone who participates gets credit.

    I don't get the hate from fates (other than the PTSD from people relic farming, which had more to do with it being bullshit RNG than the fate system itself, which just gets blamed)

    Most fates are just "kill these monsters" or "kill this boss". What's to hate about that? It's not that particularly different from running a dungeon and killing things is what I'd expect from a battle class. A fate boss is honestly not much different from a hunt boss (or a NM). Killing things in monster fates is not different from just going around killing things.

    What else do you expect?
