    I kinder doubt this, seems from live letter it's more you can go in solo & then team but not play the content solo.. Yoshi character was getting messed up by singular mobs without God Mode he most likely would've died at least 4-5 times during that demo some mobs hitting ridiculously hard one of AAs hit for around 60k, elemental stuff will likely lower it to reasonable numbers but still that doesn't scream solo-able.

    What was shown off did not look solo-able in the slightest & you're sure a hell not going to solo the REQUIRED S monster spawns which they did say you'd need to kill get get item an item which could knowing this team most likely is low RNG drop to progress the Relic.

    Well this is disappointing. When they said 'a whole new system' I was thinking it would be something closer to picking up all new skills that you could equip and you'd play a role based on the skills you picked up or that you could interchange them with other players or something unique along those lines in a more potd style environment, but without fixed classes.

    I didn't think it was literally going to be 'level your character several more times with the possibility of losing those levels'.

    It is just a "sandbox" for the relic style gearing. As some pointed out already something like Dinamis in ff 11 aka instances meant solely for gear progression. I am curious what they meant by "starting simple", seems they have plans to add systems in as the relic is progressing and they also hinted before at eureka only "set" based stuff. The solo thing, I feel they mean you can go in and solo (ie kill lvl 1 mobs at lvl 1 yourself) but prolly want to see people group up and go xp camp style probably.

    Thanks for taking your time and read my ideas. I know that they want more group content since this is a MMO after all but at the end I just feel that this might be another content where grief and anger will happen because of how those monster function. I see enough of that with hunts and with Eureka people will run that a lot for relic drops and since those are seemingly random too some will work for this quite a long time. Losing a NM because others did not wait or you are just too late will surely have some loud shout chats..and I just hoped that after hunts SE would have learned a bit and not do this. They could still make it group content but give people that took their time and spawned it a 100% chance at rewards and others could help. This way people will be forced to spawn their monsters too and not just wait till others did the work and those that worked hard to get them will surely have their reward.

    I just fear all the grief which will surely make this content a bit annoying. Still will give it a try and maybe its better than I think but I already see so many ways of trolling and hate..

    A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.

    be a hell of a grind on content, where drops will be hard to get, then as more steps are added (or in this case new areas of eureka are added) the previous steps get nerfed, first it will prob be difficulty, then drop rate. and so on till it can be easily solo'd

    you also have the element board to play with to counter the particular monster you are fighting, so it will hit weaker and take more damage from you.

    will there be monsters that arn't NM's who will kill you easily? maybe, but that could be seen as you needing X amount of elemental level and prob easy to spot against compared to weaker trash.

    Also regarding that EXP loss.

    If you're level 5 or over, if you die and don't get a rez in 10 minutes by a random healer, you may lose a small amount of EXP

    If you're level 11 or over, if you die and don't get a raise in 10 minutes, you may randomly get a 'level down' rather than an EXP loss.

    I don't think it's "rather". Let's say you lose 1000 Xp when dying. If you have 2000/10000 xp, you'll end at 1000/10000, but if you have 500/10000, you'll lose a level and be 500 Xp away from gaining it back.

    At least, it worked that way in FFXI.

    I have the exact same fear, that it will die off the same as diadem and now PotD. Both were fun content in their own right and a nice diversion from the usual dungeon grindfest but they had no longevity. I did my first relic weapon up to Zeta i think (end of the 2.x relic) and after that said screw it because it was just not fun and i dont mind a grind at all. What i'm hoping for is the same length of grind but all contained in the single "zone" and now with armor on top of it, that will give me that much more content to try and grind out. I hope they will have other things to do in Eureka on top of the relic stuff. They said it will grow with the patches which is more than they said for any of their other systems so i have a faint glimmer of hope, but SE has hurt me before so i'm not holding my breath.
