    It it isnt broken dont fix it... but if it could be better, it is as good as broken.

    It could be worst doesnt make it "fine". Get it?

    Not sure I fully understand this but.... Essentially your saying "If my car isnt broken, dont fix it, but if it could be better (Like it being a muscle car), its as good as broken."

    That seems a touch odd.

    His example still stands, except you used an example of a car, where that example seems a bit out of place w/o context.
    So to put your example back into context, "in a car race".

    You attempted to make it sound like we're comparing the car to average everyday casual driving, and then said his comment makes no sense.

    (And just to point out, I disagree with him. Not for the statements sensibilities, but because flying actually is fine. If anything, I'd like to see more content built on vertical layouts, rather than horizontal layouts.)

    Or more simply: if the net change from a given improvement is worthwhile, improve it?
