A horrible run on Rabanastre - the problem with that place is the second boss. :P

Dps kept wiping and I was struggling to keep healing and then I got killed and each time I was revived I was instantly killed.

The mechanics aren’t bad but the seemingly random huge aoes get annoying!

We got there in the end but the run took well over an hour that I could have spent doing two or three other roulettes grrr.

I don't remember, but wasn't it possible to somehow glamour your job crystal or make it appear that you were using a class instead of a job? I thought I ran into a MRD like that once upon a time using WAR skills, but had the MRD icon in PoTD floor 51-60. But I've never looked into it or asked about it.

What Kaiva was asking to do is similar to what your group already does with the tanks eating the damage alone(likely using immunities). Kaiva's called strategy was for the OT to go alone to eat the first slam - soloing the stack up marker. Since the person grabbed shares the damage with those stacked, this would be the 2 tanks sharing the first slam. Kaiva's strategy here was for the tanks to share the first, then the DPS could stack in on the second stack up marker to share that damage(the strategy sets up so that the offtank eats half a slam the first time and 1/5 of one the second which they should have enough HP for, the MT just has to maintain a good hate lead, the DPS only have to move to one marker, and the healers can stay out of it and just focus on HP/DPS).

Ah so the OT goes to both stacks! Thanks for explaining, good to know some people do it like this.

In some parties, yes - but the OT has to have some mitigation when they go to the second stack because they have a defensive debuff on them. I usually only go to the second stack if I have HG ready to go and I have enough cooldowns to deal with the tiger.

Oh. Well, that's just mean as hell. I really wish they would do something about classes though. Really, there's not much point in having them.

I think we all have a horror story or two about The Stone Vigil. I que in on my SCH for roulette's.So our WAR takes the slightest bit of damage.This guy starts jumping. And not jumping in place. He starts jumping all around the room in the first large pull room with all the aery dragons.Except this time he's not using any skills, whatsoever. So here comes the aggro onto me. As soon as everything is on me, he stops jumping like crazy and starts smacking things. He takes damage again, he starts to jump like a crazy person. So we wipe. I take the time to ask him if he was okay, if it had been a while since he tanked. I get nothing.So we continue on, I tell him I won't let him die if he just tanks everything properly. Rinse and repeat this for the entirety of the dungeon. We get to the final boss with nearly broken gear, and maybe 5 minutes left on the timer to complete it. He leaves the dungeon.

In closing. I now have Stone Vigil and Warrior PTSD.

PotD gives you job quest related skills when you level up in there. No glamour involved, the player had just gotten that deep while a Marauder.

The Rabanastre run are players gutting their skill set for the lols.
