I wouldn't count Delirium, since it ties to the new "job ressouce", like lots of other skills. After all, Unchained...used...to cost 5 wrath back in ARR...but not anymore... damn it WAR !
I understand the cooldown and mp cost at TBN, since TBN basically is the Sheltron and Inner Beast of DRK.
But yeah, high mp cost, CD AND lol-potency on DP? Nice try Squeenix.
Delirium only costs Blood, it returns mana. TBN costs mana and returns blood if broken. So those are resource swaps, still worse than Sheltron or Infuriate.
If you say so.
I am not about to get my hopes up, especially considering what resulted from the last time they "looked at" DRK. Shadow Wall and Dark Passenger were specifically mentioned and they basically said "no, we're not changing them."
IMO time is also a resource. So blood and long recast. And you mostly want Delirium for the BP/BW extension anyway.
The skill that is the most offensive is Dark Passenger with it's 2400/4800 MP cost and 30 second recast for very low damage.
Yes, time is also a resource and the CD behind Delirium is understandable when you add the MP gain, which in reality is meaningless unless you're really on the ball of timing its MP gain for another DA. I'm simply pointing out that delirium and tbn are resource swaps with a "bonus" (and likely this bonus is the reason why the CD time), DRK is the tank that has that obvious crutch.
I don't question DP because half your MP bar for paltry damage likely crippled by "blind" which only trash mobs may be affected by is a joke.
If you say so.
I'm all pumped up for that long awaited Hard Slash 5 potency buff.

TP and MP is "swapped" for DPS, healing, or threat. (And sometimes other resources)
But yes, its debatable if a CD should be considered a "cost" as it doesnt effect anything other than its own activation. Which means it needs to be a situational ability, where u need to have it up when the situation calls for it, rather than using it on CD to maintain your DPS or what have you. Kinda goes both ways, depending on the situation.

After sleeping like a log on the thought of a no MP cost DP, A few ideas came to mind that would actually help a fair bit. I doubt devs read these comments but I'll list out what I feel could help us as a net gain.
A) The Dark Passanger change mentioned in previous post on page 2 (same CD, same effects, no MP cost)
B) Replace Sole Survivor with Scourge, same as it was. (If it ain't broke, don't fix it, and SS is very tough to use when no adds are involved)
C) If Dark Mind is used with Dark Arts, it becomes radial AOE from the DRK, but keeps its effect the same. (Suddenly, raid utility!)
Obviously they are not the perfect fixes, but it would raise us enough to be in contention again, at least.

I couldn't be more on board with just removing the MP cost on DP. It then becomes something we can weave in if not in BP, or if it's on CD.
My thoughts on sole survivor is to make it a damaging version of SCH's excog. Basically, it does the same thing it does now, but should the timer expire before the mob dies, it explodes with moderate potency.
