What exactly is the reason people want to share ownership of a house with their alts on the same account? Is it really that big a deal when you could simply hop onto the character that has ownership whenever something needs to be done only the owner can do? Seems like a pretty low priority QoL request if you ask me. In fact, it sounds more likely to open up possible exploits by doing this.

What exactly is the reason

Basically why anyone would want a house on the one chara, and for RPers that would also mean a lot. Sure you can just teleport there if you wanna go there but that's just a hassle. Frankly there's no reason not to allow it either because that house is already out of the market, and it's not like those alts can buy any other houses anyway - I mean even getting an FC house is the one buy between all of them, and that's if none of them are in a house-owning FC to begin with.

You can't stable your chocobo if you don't have access to a house, for one. Can't pick up crops either. And depending on loading times, switching charas can be very time consuming and that's without taking queues into consideration.

In fact, it sounds more likely to open up possible exploits by doing this.

I can't imagine any exploit this will open that aren't already made available by people creating FCs of their own alts, something people have done to get around some of the new restictions already.

RP is also a good point. Such a simple thing as changing orchestrion music requiring login-logout cycle in the middle of an event is foolish.

FTFY since foolish is hardly an appropriate word to describe this. And I do suppose having alt access to house functions is a definite plus but I assumed you could just grant them permission to do that stuff. Guess I was mistaken thinking you could do it with alts. Either way, if SE does decide to do this it will no doubt be in a future major patch.

I read a few posts on here that someone had a few houses on diff chrs on the same account for the sole reason SE has no system to let the house owner have ownership rights on the house. They even said they would give up the other plots and only have one house if SE allowed it.

There is no exploitation, SE is just stubborn with their 1.0 code in how same account cant item transfer and such for more room. Also someone may want an alt to access the house so they can store furnishings on the alt and not go though a big hassle to transfer items from one character to the next.

Between personal FCs and people with multiple service account it's not anything that's not currently done en-masse already.

That us the only thing that can somewhat be seen as exploit, even though, honestly, if you already have a character on your account where you got these things you needed, why should you be prevented from having an easier time on an alt?

Item transfer is also the one thing that can't really be stopped. If you can give the thing to anyone in any kind of way, they can give it to your alt.

Don't even need FC now. Have both of your characters be tenant in someone else's house with furnishing right. That's one of the silly things now. One can have all their alts as tenants in same somene else's house, but not benefit in alt characters of their own house.

Just to say a couple, usage of perks as teleport to your house at discounted price, and using the NPCs there.
