Yeah no thanks. People can barely run dungeons and 24 man properly let alone normal mode raids

They're not normal raids in any way except labeling. HW and SB normal raids were implemented with the intention that even the most casual players could just waltz in there with and be expected to clear it in short order. That's not Coil by any means.

Only Second Coil had Savage and that was ment to be a challenge the best raiders via being unnerfed AND what the devs originally intended before scaling back prior to release, instead of just the norm for them. Coil itself is harder unsynced compared to Alex and Omega normal because it was what we now consider Savage, or failing that not too far below Alex Savage.
(also for some reason this has been said in a LOT of threads for the past week. Its really wierd)

Coil was actually the ‘Savage’ content in ARR; Second Coil Savage was kind of like a beta-version of Ultimate, in which it was tuned higher than the ‘non-Savage’ named version, which was considered the 8-man Savage content at the time. Second Coil Savage was how the developers originally wanted the fight to be tuned. There was no ‘normal-mode’ 8-mans in ARR, hence the future division of normal and Savage. It was made because so many people missed out on the Coil story because it wasn’t a casual, “normal-mode” raid like Alexander Normal or Deltascape/Sigmascape Normal, and not everyone had the ability/time/group to do the content.
Again, Second Coil (Savage) is how the developers originally wanted the fight to be tuned—a beta-version Ultimate or a “Savage-mode Savage”, if you will. But Binding Coil and Final Coil had no Binding Coil (Savage)-/Final Coil (Savage)-named equivalents because they were the Savage raids during their respective tiers.
That being said, they really should implement an 8-man normal mode raid roulette. It won’t include Coil, but it would be great for filling up queues for newbies, as well as give us another daily roulette option for acquiring tomestones. I’m not opposed to more variety.

I think a simple solution here would be to just add Alex and Omega normal into the trial roulette. maybe exclude the current omega normal since the loot is still on a weekly lockout. but the rest are about the same difficulty as most things in the trial roulette with the same party makeup.
I would absolutely second this.To answer your question, OP, it's more or less a difference between NA/EU and the JP datacentres. From what I understand, JP tend to exclusively use Raid Finder/Duty Roulette for both normal and Savage raids, whereas we in the West utilize the PF. There is a Raid Finder option, though that is for Savage runs. Even if a raid roulette, as you are wanting, were to be added, it won't see much use like the alliance raids would. Western players have a preference for certain party comps and having unsync runs. If you want Alex runs, you'd be better off just sticking to PF, though even then, people that join will more often than not want to do it unsync.
I was going through all the Coils and all the Alexander raids during last weekend and didn't have to wait more than 5-10 min for a full group (unsync) to gather through PF even once. There are always sync groups as well - they have to wait a bit longer, something like 20-30 min through PF but it's definitely possible.
Same goes for synced Alliance raids, any kinds of primals (Norm-Hard-EX) and other stuff. J Data Centers do use PF a lot.

I don't know why it doesn't exist yet but the devs mentioned it is now under consideration to be added so maybe we'll see in the next 6 months? Some of my most fun in mentor roulette is when Alex normal stuff comes up because there's no way I'd see that stuff any more without roulette.

I agree Coils aren't normal raids but a great deal of the playerbase thinks that they are and would ceaselessly complain if it wasn't added to a 8 man raid roulette. So you would have a basically endless supply of people coming on to the forums to whine about that like they do with any other design choice that, while being a good decision, they don't understand.
But I do agree it'd be nice to have.

Lets be fair, you would also have people (some the same as the ones you alluded too, some different from them) who would complain/drop immediatly if they actually got into Coil instead of Alex/Omega because it wouldn't be quite as easy at synced ilvl compared to the latter two.I agree Coils aren't normal raids but a great deal of the playerbase thinks that they are and would ceaselessly complain if it wasn't added to a 8 man raid roulette. I know. It's really one of those situations where the phrase "you can't please everyone" is very appropriate.Lets be fair, you would also have people (some the same as the ones you alluded too, some different from them) who would complain/drop immediatly if they actually got into Coil instead of Alex/Omega because it wouldn't be quite as easy at synced ilvl compared to the latter two.
