Off topic but for a "neighborhood" feel nobody seems to ever been in or around their houses only a very few FC doing party stuff

I think instead of moving features that are already in the housing districts we should get more features.
Such as the above. These are great ideas. They don't grant any extra advantages to home owners, only a minor convenience. Would also be nice for players whose machines don't play nice in super crowded areas, and some towns can be on some servers at peak times.Always thought they should put tome / scrip and other various vendors and things in the residential wards.
It would probabay take some of the crowd thus server load away from Rhalgers Reach / Kugane or formerly Iddyllshire and Mor Dhona.
If you do something that and a residential chat network that's shared across wards and areas. and you'd probably find the wards more ppopulated as people could do a lot more usefull stuff in them.
I disagree with this.
Ever since my FC had a house, we've always been talking with our neighbor sometimes when we're out.
We even played together. We moved 3 times and we've kept talking with our new neighbors.
I don't know why but Shirogane seems to be the most dead of all the housing areas. I moved my personal small from Shirogane to Lavender Beds in one of the new wards, and even though I've got only 5~ neighbors or so, the ward is so active! I never saw a soul in Shiro.
At the end of the day, housing is what you make of it.. If you're not actively trying to reach out to your neighbors then you can't complain about the wards feeling "Dead"
I don't know, they feel pretty close to my neighborhood. There might be a few people lingering about here and there, walking around. But for the most part people keep to themselves while silently judging each other. It's pretty damn close to real life actually.
^ Agreed.
Pretty much unless you or someone else can be bothered to make the effort, it won't be a neighbourhood. I've always been on friendly terms with neighbours. I run around and check out people's houses, strike up a convo if I spot them in the yard or decorating, ask them for ideas if I'm having trouble decorating a room, etc, etc... I find the lack of homey feeling has less to do with the wards themselves and more to do with the kinds of people that move into them.
Our Shirogane ward in famfrit has so many awesome people living in it, but I swear when we first joined our FC there it was totally dead.
It took very little effort to bring the neighborhood alive. I remember reading a study one time that said only 1/10 people would randomly engage with a stranger. However when an opening was created to move in and talk that number went significantly up.
For anyone who has said "Nobody talks in the ward" just ask your self if you're one of those people. I know it's hard sometimes but you have to be the spark![]()
Was anyone else around for the Christmas event the first year they released housing? You had to go around and look for different trees in people's yards in order to do the event. It was maybe a little rough around the edges but it definitely got people running around the wards and people deliberately put up different trees from their neighbors to help folks along. It was kinda cool, and I wish they'd do more stuff like this.
