I'm not trying to stroke my own ego, but that run would have been even worse if I wasn't as experienced as I am as a healer. He almost died a couple of times but I saved him, all while still pumping out some DPS.

I even mentioned that they weren't using CDs and they said nothing and did nothing about it.

And for the whole RDM raising before healer

The first one to win the raising race is obviously the best healer! /s

But I won't lie. I do try to be the first to raise just so I can say "I did it first!" though. Especially if the other healer has a raise macro. >_>; Sometimes I can be petty.

Been Farming for gear to help our new FC rank up - Temple of the First - Running as a Red Mage - schollar and Palladin (or was it a warrior? bit of a blur) - the tank went balls to the wall pulling everything in sight...whats funny is at the end of the run before the final boss he didn't stop..just kept pulling and pulling and pulling...I snaged the chests for gear and knew he was gonna wipe the party out...sure enough..he did. Didn't say anything as I'd get myself in trouble if i did....mentor mode.

Scholar thought he/she messed up bad...apologized - tank meh'd...final boss fight came and went tank left....told the scholar tank was full of crap....he messed up...not you. Scholar was very relieved and appreciated the confidence boost/compliment. (I was the only Mentor in the group lol)

I hate tanks that do stupid things like that. >.>;

The macro's for calling out raises are not meant to get attention for commendations...they are meant to inform the party that a raise is being attempted...and if your about to start one...you don't need too or should focus on someone else. As it tends to prevent early burn up's on swift casts.

However i'm starting to agree that as a Red Mage myself...we should be doing more [Ver]Raises over healers because they can use that mana for healing...and we don't necessarily need mana that often. Not to mention that dualcast helps.

I never thought of that, it makes sense now that I think of it. But believe me, some are made for comms, they even ask for them in the macro text. Same for Mana Shift. I've also seen people who use the macro raise someone who had already gotten a raise but just didn't accept it (and you can see the icon easily without the macro too) just to get praised for it in place of the original resser.

I can believe that.... I been tempted to start macro'ing at least a FYI note:
"<my name> Shoving Mana down <t> throat. "

Or something to that effect..at least try to be funny about it lol.
