My questions are in regards to the EXP penalties for death.

I keep seeing the nightmare scenario of players getting tagged by a mob way too powerful for them (say, hunt A/S rank levels) and purposely or not causing havok to other players while kiting it around.

On the positive end, it's punishing innocent players, and the negative, it's a terribly easy opportunity to troll.

The trolling is the one thing that really worried me as well.

I dont see this being an issue. If you que with people you dont know sure its a possibility but its an instance not a open area zone.
