Snowboarding, of course.
Final Fantasy XIV : Storminecraftward reborn
The moon is pretty logical for Final Fantasy
I won't expect anything, except PERHAPS aerial and underwater combat, but I think it'd be pretty cool if climbing/scaling/vaulting over obstacles became a thing... but that's admittedly highly unlikely.
Hopefully they use the time they spend making these traveling systems on fixing glamour and making them fit the race better like in 1.0 and making a real glamour book.
4-Dimensional movement.
Mounted combat.
Or as someone said we time travel, but to 8bit graphics zones!
I really don't want to see time travel occur in FFXIV as FFXI showed how that usually resulted in unimaginative zone design (instead of creating wholly new zones, existing zones are simply redressed and added as 'new zones in the past').
Another issue with time travel was again shown by FFXI's time travel scenario which had the issue of retconning everything in the story that came before it so I would rather not touch that narrative can of worms again (and I say that as a fan of time travel as a sub-genre in science fiction).
Also for those hoping for time travel as an excuse to "travel back to 1.0 zones'", that is an impossibility - 1.0 is gone forever including it's awful zone structure. If a hypothetical time travel scenario was added to FFXIV, it's pretty much guaranteed to just feature existing ARR zones but in the past, not how that zone was originally shown in 1.0 (as 1.0 used a totally different client, engine and sever structure to ARR). So again I'm going to say that 1.0 is gone and is never coming back.
