To be fair, there's enough cases of players still wanting to utilize the manual glamour options, either in conjunction with the Dresser plates, or in lieu of them. These are the players that want to "mix and match" their glamour approach, and so still "need" the items available to glamour manually.

The only way to reach a point where this need is reduced is to increase capacity and also expand access to the Dresser system beyond the Inn. Once there, maybe then some of these players can move away from their need for manual glamour items. But we're not there yet, so it's perfectly valid for them to be concerned about having access to those items for manual glamour.

Now, personally, I still don't quite get why they're set on glamouring that way, but that's just because I've never been one to extensively glamour, myself, and so it doesn't really seem like my place to question how any player wants to approach how they use any system.
