This is absolutely ridiculous. I am a gay man. And the people taking this to offence and still carrying on victimizing themselves need to stop creating unnecessary drama. I know a lot of us have it hard, mayhap come to play FFXIV for an escape of judgemental people and homophobia. But hey no one is judging. This has been misinterpreted as previously said by me and others. NO ONE is being homophobic. Twink is not even an offensive word to the gay community. It is only offensive to gay people personally if they do not like being referred to as a young, skinny attractive hairless flamboyant male. There is your definition. Do not speak as if you're speaking for all the gays. No you are taking it as a personal attack which is irrelevant to being gay. I know a lot of us are drama queens. I know I am at times, in a funny way lol! But not in this way.

Get over it - The OP is not what you think. If you wish to speak about terms, phrases, experiences, what we take to offence etc, whatever! we can make a separate post. I'm not against anyone by the way! The people who feel like they are standing up must feel passionate towards it! I won't take away from that. But don't turn it into something that it's not especially when you're still carrying it on after people have explained the gamer term for the word.

A twink is an alt character that you send gear and other things to that you farm or get on your main character to make progression on your alt easier.

I doubt OP meant to be offensive when they used that particular term to describe alts. I believe it's a fairly common term used in WoW and (possibly) other MMOs.

"Twink (WoW) - A low-level character made more powerful by higher-level characters, usually through gifts of armor and weapons that the character would not normally have at such low level. Also used as a verb to describe the act of giving low-level characters powerful items uncommon at their level. "

Ya, is nothing offensive about it, the term "twinking" is decades old in the world of MMO's and is still used to this day.

A twink is your alt character that you outfit in much higher gear than they could normally attain. That was the common usage in EQ. Otherwise if you let the char progress on their own, it's just an alt.

If you're familiar with the out-of-game usage of twink so graciously explained above, the title of the OP is weirdly exclusionary sounding.

I also haven't seen anything except number of members being used as a gauge. I doubt they are going to make it 4 service accounts online because then that limits it further to only FCs who can get 4 people online on patch morning, rather than just the leader to buy the house.

To be honest if people keep trying to abuse the system the community will get punished in the long run by SE.Im sure after the drama thats going to come from players registering as fake fc's to buy houses SE will put in some more extreme measures.Dont be surprised if we see houses being limited to only fc's and them increasing the amount of fc members needed to 12 or something in the future.
I think the MS roulette change is a perfect show that they arent going to put up with any nonsense from people anymore.

Casually glances at PF and the abundance of advertisements for sale runs.

And if the MSQ Roulette is any indication, we'll be seeing those forthcoming "punishments" around 2022.
