He's not saying don't do the MSQ period. He's simply pointing out that you have the option of not doing them if the cutscene change is enough to evoke "pain and rage". In all honesty, new players brought this upon themselves with their constant whinging about speed runs in the first place.

I don't think it's fair to tell post 4.2 new players that they brought it upon themselves when they weren't the ones that complained pre 4.2.He's not saying don't do the MSQ period. I honestly never understood the complaints. There is a Inn room?
When i was a new player i was speed runned them too. Did I complain? No I watched them in silenced while the group killed the bosses for me and i could later enjoy the bossfights through DR.

Actually Ive been running the msq roulette once a day this week to level 50+ characters and they arent nearly as long. Sometimes 16 to 20 min waits. Happy to say its been salt free. If OP doesnt like it then he should really ignore it and do Alliance roulette instead. Theres not enough justification for them to change it
Honestly, I would rather wait in an hour-long queue than wind up in a speed-run that ruins the culmination of 50 levels of story. In the 50 levels leading up to this point, this is literally the first time new players will have their experience wrecked by long-term players, and it can really sour their opinion of the game.
I feel like people who don't understand this either don't remember what this was like, or never cared enough about the story to begin with. But some people do. Isn't there already enough instant gratification to be found elsewhere in the game?

Consider this... if enough people opt out of doing the main scenario roulette to the point where it noticeably impacts new players trying to progress through the MSQ, then SE might just be inclined to do what they should have already done and do away with the main scenario roulette altogether and make the Main Scenario stuff a solo thing. At the very least maybe they will take some of the tech from the new Trust system for it and have a bunch of NPC's join solo players if reworking it to be a purely solo experience isn't feasible.
How many men am I involved with? Well that depends... do you mean men as in males? Or just midlanders?
