By glamouring the original glamours over it again - or dispelling the glamour, if there wasn't any before.

The plate is a glamour macro - it takes the items you put in the plate and glamours them over your current armor in the respective slots. It's effectively the same as if you would glamour the items in the plate over your currently worn items manually.

I personally only use one plate because of that: And it only has two emperor's new rings.

Plates don’t come on and off - that’s what a lot of people were expecting out of the system, but it’s not what it actually does. When you apply a plate, the items on it get glamoured onto your current gear in the same ‘permanent’ way as they do when applying an individual glamour with a prism. So if you want to revert back to the previous appearance, you need to re-glamour it again, or use a dispel crystal to return to the original gear.

I think we can all agree on that the system isn't user friendly and it's a convoluted solution to the glamour problem at the moment.

I figured this system out rather quick so I could use RDM AF and my BLM Glamour on the same gear and it's great that this is now possible. However, I can only describe the feeling I get when switching between RDM and BLM as..."dirty"; like someone got a handful of mud and slapped it on my back and dragged their hand down my spine.

Little things that irk me, rub me the wrong way...the chat log spam of all the glamours applying at once, the "Update Gear" button in Character Profile resetting and making me think I haven't updated my gear set and finally just the sound of switching and all the glamours applying at the same time makes me feel dirty the most.

i like the dresser but it need to expanded a loot and very quickly,

Things is this new system does not work well with the old system as the plate actually cast a glamour on the gear itself and there no way revert to the glamour usign the old system we can say, You have to re-cast glamour on the said item

    My list of need:
    1. Additional plate 20-40
    2. More sloth minimum 400 i have 4 retainer of glamour
    3. possibility to store ALL item not just selected one (i cant stress enough this system will only work if it totally replace the old one)
    4. Ability to withdraw item stored into it specially item that are not longer orbitan-able

So glamouring your gear with a plate is permanent, putting gear in the dresser is permanent and the glamours aren't tied to jobs.

    Lovely.

Oh lord, that's good to hear! I was wondering how to go about glamouring stuff that can't be put in the dressers. Feel a little dumb for not thinking of that!

Haven't glamours always been permanent until you apply another or dispel them?
For gear whose only use is exclusively to glamour, you don't exactly lose much functionality by putting them in the dresser.
When have your glamours ever been tied to jobs?

As was pointed out, this is still using the base glamour system, with an attempt to streamline the process. It's got some early restrictions that prevent some players from fully utilizing the system, but for the majority, once you set aside your expectations and understand the system this is working within, the process isn't much different.

No, glamours have had an option to revert back to their base appearance. Using the plates, you cannot dispel a glamour now.

Always for me, for as long as glamours have been available, unless you want to wear whatever best-stats mismatched gear you last acquired. I’ve been consistently re-applying the same glamours to my jobs (initially the Novice gear, now my Lv50 job gears) every time I upgrade equipment, piece by piece - now I can set up that appearance on a plate and instantly get any upgraded gear back to that predesigned costume.

That hasn’t changed. You can still revert the appearance with a dispel crystal, like you would have if you’d glamoured it manually. Once you’ve applied the plate, it behaves the same as a glamour applied with the old system - which you can still use if you prefer.

The dresser plates do need an option to set dispel crystals in gear slots though. But I think that’s not what the designers had in mind - may have been thinking more of applying complete glamour-costumes and not that people might want to make their actual gear visible again.
