Haven't glamours always been permanent until you apply another or dispel them?
For gear whose only use is exclusively to glamour, you don't exactly lose much functionality by putting them in the dresser.
When have your glamours ever been tied to jobs?

As was pointed out, this is still using the base glamour system, with an attempt to streamline the process. It's got some early restrictions that prevent some players from fully utilizing the system, but for the majority, once you set aside your expectations and understand the system this is working within, the process isn't much different.

No, glamours have had an option to revert back to their base appearance. Using the plates, you cannot dispel a glamour now.

Lmao, yeah the system is great if you set aside any expectations for something better.

Always for me, for as long as glamours have been available, unless you want to wear whatever best-stats mismatched gear you last acquired. I’ve been consistently re-applying the same glamours to my jobs (initially the Novice gear, now my Lv50 job gears) every time I upgrade equipment, piece by piece - now I can set up that appearance on a plate and instantly get any upgraded gear back to that predesigned costume.

That hasn’t changed. You can still revert the appearance with a dispel crystal, like you would have if you’d glamoured it manually. Once you’ve applied the plate, it behaves the same as a glamour applied with the old system - which you can still use if you prefer.

The dresser plates do need an option to set dispel crystals in gear slots though. But I think that’s not what the designers had in mind - may have been thinking more of applying complete glamour-costumes and not that people might want to make their actual gear visible again.

That was exactly my point, though. The glamour itself was never tied to your job, you simply went through the trouble of glamouring for that job as needed. You've got the idea of it, but I was trying to show that this new system isn't such a far cry from the base at all. And if some players are content enough with the old system (as seems apparent from their adamant refusal to utilize the dresser), they could learn they have all the same functionality here if they just stopped expecting this to be some entirely new tool.

It's got some valid flaws and limitations, to be sure, but many of the complaints seem to apply just as much to the old system, because this is nothing more than a complicated shortcut.

Yes...you...can? A plate is, as noted, literally just a one-click glamour for multiple slots. You dispell it exactly like you do normal glamours, because it's just a fancy way to apply a normal glamour. Exactly like Zojha and Iscah explained - it's there until you use another glam or a dispelling prism. Just like it has been since glamours were implemented.

Tantalus set goes in the Armoire. It can't be placed in the Dresser at all.

There is no apostrophe in Au Ra.
Stop adding one three years later.
