Something done right for once: Purple Weapons can not be put in the Glamour Dresser unless they are Replica weapons.

Why they couldn't do this with MogStation Items, I don't know.

I apologize in advance if I'm reading this wrong but can't you just buy back said weapons from Calamity Salvager? I wanted to add Thyrus and before even finding out I could not, I checked to see if I could get it back in any way. Turns out, it's 1k gil from the Calamity Salvager.

That only applies to the first stages of the ARR relics, all the other ones cannot be re-obtained from the Calamity Salvager. You can only get the replica weapons back, and for ARR relics at least, you only unlock replicas after completing the full relic (unless it has been changed).

Those go directly in the Armoire, and can be accessed from the Armoire through the Dresser, allowing you to retain access to the items without destroying them, while also gaining access to their glamours through the Dresser.

Only downside is if you've already dyed those items, but it's also possible to dye the glamours within the Dresser, so not entirely limited in that regard.

I hope Glamour Plate can be used somewhere at Costa del Sol, it is so embarrassing to change to swimwear at city before transported to Costa de Sol.

It's possible it will be able to be used in more locations now that they're letting plates be tied directly to gearsets in 4.3. But this is SquareEnix and user interface, so I'm not holding my breath.

Honestly now that I've been using the dresser for a while I'm still very happy with it, and being able to reclaim items will definitely alleviate the problem of only having 200 slots, but my most pressing concern now is why you STILL can't place the wedding gear in the dresser, OR in the armoire, making those pieces completely unusable for plates. Again, they're not required to do the quest...only the wristlet and ring are. These are the only pieces like that, every other piece of gear in the game can be placed either in the dresser or armoire and be freely used for glamour (in the case of relics, their replicas).

The improvements we are getting definitely show they want to get this system more functional though, so I'm glad on that count! I just reeeaaaalllly want the wedding outfits fixed. Especially since I spent real money on them!
