There are plenty of instances of originality in the game as is. All things considered, this is a final fantasy game that has liberally pulled from other inclusions in the series, as most of them have been mainstays for over 20 years. Something as simple as the Coeurl enemies have been around since FFII. Goblins were in FFI. Originality in this game comes in the form of class abilities, landscapes/zones, lore, and also enemies as can be seen with various beastmen, Ravanna, Susano, Thordan, Nabriales (and the other Ascians).

Most importantly, the Omegascape is designed by choice to pull from elements in the Squenix Universe.
