Yoshi-P making a big mistake with what yall doing the housing

I suppose I can't deny I'm biased because I have a personal house already, but I think it's fair to allow Free Companies to have access to housing before individual users.

While I enjoy having my house, and I'm sure many others do, the primary functions of a house are definitely geared towards Free Companies. There are so many FCs that aren't able to acquire a house because there are too many personal estates out there. That said, I do wish the regulations were a bit stricter. I feel like the size of the plot an FC is purchasing should be a direct correlation the amount of active members in their respective FCs. I don't like the idea of an FC with less than a couple dozen active members owning a mansion, for example.

Why not? A smaller FC somehow has less right to an abundance of gardening? A smaller FC is perfectly capable of utilizing an FC house in the same way as any other FC. Their members can work just as hard at workshop tasks and decorating. They can have just as meaningful gatherings or FC business meetings as any larger FC. You're basically saying the idea of being a "legitimate" FC is based only on numbers.

Ah, I did forget about the gardening plot size restrictions, you're right about that.

Still, I'm just thinking of it in a logical manner. An FC that has a lot of members would need a bigger house than one with fewer. I don't feel it right for an FC with few people to own a mansion and potentially cost an FC with many members from having access to housing that would be suited for their needs in terms of players. Of course that's presumptive since there are a lot of players out there who don't really have anything to do with their respective FC's housing. As for the "legitimate" comment, I have no idea how what I said makes you think that. How many members your FC has or doesn't have has nothing to do with the legitimacy of an FC, and I said nothing to the contrary.

FC rooms cost 300k from what I remember. Apartments cost 500k. It's only a extra 200k for the apartment and you get to KEEP THE APARTMENT FOREVER (unless you change servers and or want to move to another residential district but you can just buy another one anyway).

With FC's, if s**t goes down, you get kicked from a FC and or you don't like the FC and want to leave but already invested in a FC room, it's a waste of gil, hence why people should just save up for apartments of their own

FC's getting first dibs is meh imo. Let people get their own personal place first, then open up to FC's getting their places.

Or even better...maybe as some have said...give the players what they want unlimited housing (like FFXI). Making more wards won't change or solve anything and this process will keep repeating itself in a endless loop til yoshi-fail finally mans up and actually listen to the concerns of his players.

Or how about the devs stop trying to make housing wards work and focus on instanced housing that can be used by FCs.

The current housing situation was caused by a short sighted design flaw and perpetuated because SE won't give the devs what they need to improve this game.
