Who is forcing you? Only one forcing anybody to do any roulettes is yourself. Like you, said, don't queue for it, but heck, no one is forcing you to do it.
I agree 100% with you. I hope i will soon see topics complaining how this daily roulette waiting times are atrocious, you know... any reason to laugh is welcome.
You know you can see them at the Inn, right..? ^^I have no remorse for people that are complaining about not being able to skip cut scenes in these two dungeons. I remember my first run through which was intimidating and my friend told me to skip because people didn't want to wait. I think it took me a year to go back and actually do the dungeons and watch the cut scenes because someone else wanted to see them. If this is what it takes for a new person to experience the dungeons as intended then so be it.
And this is why people should learn to read/pay attention to patch notes. Failure to educate yourself is a failure on your part. Not SE.It's terrible.
Turns a 15 minutes duty finder into an hour.
We had 5 people leave the party.
I will not queue for this duty anymore as long as it exists.
...
Update - 40 minutes in - After 6 people left and we waited for new people, I decided to leave.
I now have a 30 min penalty to joining the Duty Finder.
Mind you, this entire run used to take 15 minutes max.
Is it a nice change? No...but its no excuse for you to torture the party by ditching it yourself. Regardless of the reasons.
30 Min Penalty deserved.
If your not going to commit..don't join the duty. Period.
I hope that waiting times for main scenario skyrocket so i can pull out all the "dont que if you dont like" post as answer to people complaining how they waited hours/days to progress in their main quest.
I never had any problem to wait people to watch entire cutscene at the beginning of the dungeon, or explain the tactics, or wait because someone need to open the door or get something to drink... but i will not allow the game to force me to watch that insane amount of cutscenes every single time.
And you are right, no one is forcing me to do this two dungeons so i suggest to everyone sane to just skip this dungeons and completely leave for newbies. Let them enjoy 1 hour of cutscenes after they waited hours/days in que to move on with the main quest. Who am i to ruin this wonderful experience for every new player...
Out of curiosity i would like to know what newbies with only few hours per week to play will think after they spent all their free time to complete two dungeons.
You keep forgetting that IT IS A CHOICE. Anybody who is doing them is doing them by choice, which right there they lose any argument. If you chose to do it, quit complaining, you knew your choice. Otherwise CHOOSE to do something else. The "newbies " chose to do it, and as far as MSQ it's only required once, which I am sure they will watch and enjoy.
And again i completely agree with you:You keep forgetting that IT IS A CHOICE. Anybody who is doing them is doing them by choice, which right there they lose any argument. The amount of minutes added due to cutscenes is less than half.
If the run is taking longer than 21mins (and I think 27 mins was the clear time for the next one), chances are, some is AFK, or people arent actually trying at the combat parts.
(Which is to be expected if most people are new or lazy)
The amount of EXP given is +50%(it was a bit more, but forget the numbers on this one) and +105% depending on which we're talking about.
And the poetics has shot up more than double.
you actually get more for your effort, if you actually try to do well, rather than watch netflix as you run it.

Not this newbie. I started skipping everything because I realized just how much time this game wastes with cut scenes and dialogs. It felt incredibly unproductive, and was exhausting to read through all of it. I'm sorry I don't have a Kindle Paperwhite display on my computer... Eye strain is a thing, and reading pages and pages of text in a game... Well, I don't find that enjoyable after an hour or so.You keep forgetting that IT IS A CHOICE. Anybody who is doing them is doing them by choice, which right there they lose any argument. If you chose to do it, quit complaining, you knew your choice. Otherwise CHOOSE to do something else. The amount of clicking required to get through it is still [literally] physically discomforting (because it's not, at all, ergonomic).
The cut scenes could have been a nice time to relax at the end of, between quests and objective, but not... They had to be annoying clickfests as well.
To save myself from CTS, I skip them entirely. All of them.
The point of an RPG is to play a role. Not to be strung along on some long, drawn out, force-fed story. We should be creating our own story. I think obsession with the "story of the game" is kind of missing the point of why many of us actually play these types of games. I have literally no interest in whatever pre-fabricated story Square Enix has written for my character.
