I usually have at least two material items on the list HQ, so if you need 1 koprical nugget and 1 opal then i would have those both HQ. Understand? if you are none spec then i would atleast have 3 - 4

I found some of those inaccurate, especially the none specialist ones. so adjust as needed especially craftsmanship and CP, for the one craft I need 1630 craftsmanship for a none spec craft

I pretty much start off with the same opening as I would manual craft a special 2 star recipes. But instead of 3 PBPs, I used only 2, then when durab is at 15, I activate Manip2. After that, I used a Patient Touch (durab down to 5, and then restores back to 10). Now I used Flawless Syn, and the durab will float back to 15. Keep going with Flawless Syn spam until durab is near max, use 1x CS III to burn off durab before it's maxed out by Manip2. Watch your CZ, refresh it before your durab hits max.
You sir or mam are a genius! What kind of CP are you starting out with on this? Using Food and Medicines too?

Thanks! I'm a full time working mom, so no sir please! LOL!

Since this is manual crafting, you can get away with less stats, less HQ mats, and you don't need to be specialist to do it. It also depends a bit on luck with Trick of Trades. The more you get, the better it becomes.

As for macro crafting, please see below...

Thanks for the link! So I tested one of the rotations on there for specialists. And it works like a charm. The only issue is that it needs a lot of CP... it needs a base amount of about 472 CP, with a final amount of 535 CP after food and medicine. It's very demanding, and requires some expensive food+medicine.

This is NOT my rotation. I merely copied it from the reddit link, and modified it into a 3 part macro. And I found it to work very well for Specialist classes:

    /ac "Initial Preparations" <wait.3>
    /ac "Comfort Zone" <wait.2>
    /ac "Inner Quiet" <wait.2>
    /ac "Specialty: Reflect" <wait.3>
    /ac "Steady Hand II" <wait.2>
    /ac "Manipulation II" <wait.2>
    /ac "Piece by Piece" <wait.3>
    /ac "Piece by Piece" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Observe" <wait.3>
    /ac "Focused Synthesis" <wait.3>
    /ac "Comfort Zone" <wait.2>
    /ac "Great Strides" <wait.2>
    /echo 3 star 35 durab - 535 CP Macro#1 done <se.2>

    /ac "Ingenuity" <wait.2>
    /ac "Steady Hand II" <wait.2>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
    /ac "Steady Hand" <wait.2>
    /ac "Great Strides" <wait.2>
    /ac "Ingenuity II" <wait.2>
    /echo 3 star 35 durab - 535 CP Macro#2 done <se.4>

    /ac "Innovation" <wait.2>
    /ac "Byregot's Blessing" <wait.3>
    /ac "Observe" <wait.3>
    /ac "Focused Synthesis" <wait.3>
    /echo 3 star 35 durab - 535 CP Macro#3 done <se.6>

If you get an Excellent after the 2nd macro is finished, you can manually hit Byregot immediately, then Observe and Focused Syn to finish it. You need to be specialist to have that extra 15 CP from Stroke of Genius to use the above rotation, as well as having that "Reflect" too. 535 CP is already the amount taken into account stroke of genius being active. If you don't have stroke of genius, it would have been 550 CP.

Help me Obi Wan Kenobi Caimie you're my only hope.

What am I doing wrong? I tried 3 different 2 star macros and despite being well over the minimum stats, they all fail.

My stats: Crafts: 1471, Control 1369, CP 461 + HQ tempura and HQ CC tea.

The macros are in these posts:

    http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...rafting-Macros

    https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme..._nq_materials/

My test is snailfish oil with 3 / 5 of the ingredients being HQ.

None of them ever get to 100% quality, none of them complete.

Those macros are probably for 2 star, and snailfish is a 2.5 star craft.

Ziggyzapps' right. You were trying to craft the Snailfish Oil, which are Special 2 star recipes (6377 Difficulty, 28506 Quality). But the pages you showed up there were for normal 2 star recipes (3543 Difficulty, 15837 Quality). The two are vastly different in difficulty! We're able to macro normal 2 star recipes from pure NQ mats using macros with ease using stats of 1330/1220. But for Special 2 star recipes, you need at least 1500 craftsmanship to macro them, and we still cannot macro them easily from pure NQ mats at the moment (we can do it, but need some HQ mats). However, do not despair, as 1330/1220 is sufficient to manually craft Snailfish Oil from pure NQ mats into HQ product. Ch60 to Ch62 in my crafting guide here were all dedicated to it. So you'll be alright!

This is kind of off-topic, but I just wanna distribute some info about the new Fashion Report Check-In mini-game in the Gold Saucer. It is a little bit crafting-related anyway.

Hopefully, this will help people more easily get high scores in this mini-game for more MGP!

    Guys,

The only way I can do now is collect as much HQ materials and press synthesis to see the increase starting quality but this is total of what HQ materials you have on hand. Anyway to know the quality numbers of individual material? This way you can find out how many HQ materials you need to craft for 100% HQ.

    Thanks.
