    I don't really think a traditional rotation as such would work well with healers, we're just too fluid for that in current content.

    My views reflect some of the above for the most part. I don't really think a traditional rotation would work well for us, we're just too fluid for that to properly gel. IMHO a better approach would be to look more down the route of extra 'multi-tool' abilities in line with Assize, or perhaps even some proper DPS<>Healing synergy.

    There's lots of different approaches SE could take here, something as simple as auto attacking a target with both aero+aeroII adding 1s to regen's duration if it's active on them springs straight to mind but I'm sure there's plenty of better ideas out there.

    That would be kind of weird but... kind of interesting.

    What about changing Secret of the Lily II to something like "Landing a critical hit with Stone IV or Holy reduces the CD of Benediction and Tetragrammaton by 3 seconds" or something. I don't know! Let's brain storm!

    I think the developers are wary of focusing on DPS for healers. It is basically just there for solo and filler between heals. They don’t want healers to be so focused on damage such that they neglect healing. The meta is already kind of doing this anyway, but it would be even worse if someone needs to decide between healing someone and getting the last piece of the damage combo completed. It would also be complicated to manage cards/pet, dodge attacks zones, heal, keep track of a damage rotation, make sure dots and regens are active, keeping up on cooldowns and oGlds and making sure to use ones that synergize together at the right times. Basically there is enough already for healers to keep track of that other roles don’t have to.

    That's what SCH is already doing if you really want to play it as its best.

    So re-arranging all this mess into something that makes sense could really help keep track of all what's going on, especially when fight also ask you to keep track of millions of things that get less and less signaled.

    If the first part was remotely true, they'd be keeping bigger tabs on Healer DPS in content (which, from my understanding, they think little of right now). We're pretty much left to our own devices on that score.

    There is a large difference between [low healing requirements coupled with big opportunity windows to use existing damage abilities via design] vs [community expecting Healers to use those to the team-advantage every chance possible]. I don't see how anything in our present meta is related to a supposed desire from SE for Healers to be more or less focused on damage in any way. As it stands, we're simply in a brilliant position to do so because of how content typically works, and this is rightfully expected of us while it remains the case (with the only alternative being to stand idle).
