After a day of really good runs, I have a strange one and I'm not sure how to feel about it.

I'm still binge running mentor roulette, celebrating having all battle classes to 70. I've gotten AV in prog with silent, but perceptive people, DPS abandoned by their tanks and heals, as I mentioned earlier, a NIDHOGG ex clear for three, it's been a fun evening.

I just got Sastasha in prog, and I ask what happened, they told me they kicked the other healer because they were being lazy. The tank is the one doing the talking.

I already have a bad taste in my mouth, but I push on, before getting the threat of "if you do the same i will initiate the vote without telling you."

I would have told the tank 'you should learn how to speak to players' And then proceed with 'have fun waiting for a new healer' and then left.
People who speak to other players like the way they spoke to you dont deserve to be helped.

REPORT REPORT REPORT! What he's said is illegal (threatening to you know what, and I'm pretty sure that's an offence here in the UK as well). I would also get law enforcement involved and ask if they can work with Square Enix for a full investigation to potentially get the guy put behind bars.

This. That isn't to be taken lightly and could easily be perceived as a threat, and while I'm honestly not sure how far an investigation might go regarding the whole affair - it's something I'd strongly recommend pursuing. Maybe they meant it as a (bad) joke, maybe they didn't. No one's laughing and if they actually got into a legal mess because of it? They're certainly not laughing either.

Funnily enough a few months back I ran into a semi-similar situation in AV. Queued in-prog on my AST and was welcomed with a similar greeting. I hadn’t asked what happened to the last healer, but I was informed they “couldn’t keep up” and then asked if I played on PS4 or PC – all while I was making my way to the PT.

I wasn't pestered beyond that – but I also play a male character, so who knows?

First of all I'm really sorry you had to deal with all that. What he said to you was by no means cool, and like the others have said I would definitely report him. Chances are, if he said that to you, he's probably said that to others as well, and that is no joking matter. Hopefully some action will be taken against him for it in the end, sooner rather than later ideally.

Yeah, I'm not the type to let someone scare me off, and I'm not glad it happened to me, and it left me with a bad taste in my mouth, but I am glad someone else didn't deal with it either.

I did not wanna give them the satisfaction either, and after putting up with all their idiocy, I just wanted to finish the run and get out.

I've played since 2013, this was hardly the hardest run of anything I've run. I had a run of AV a few queues before where no one said anything, we wiped, so I typed out tips, and we tried again and they listened. XD The tank and mnk in that run died twice each to coin counter, that was a way tougher run. When I decided to run the mentor roulette over and over, I expected some hard runs.

But yeah, stressful technically and stressful mentally are two different things, and the guy in Sastasha was very mentally grating.

Either way, thank you guys for the input, I wasn't sure I had enough to make a report on, but I made the report and I hope no one else has to deal with them later.

But... okay so what I'm about to say may be a little controversial but..

Yes what he said is reportable because it is rude and breaks the ToS. But getting law enforcement involved about something that a random person said on the internet? And seriously, it wasn't a threat. You can say it was all you want but how can you threaten someone you can physically harm? They don't know where Anaree lives. They can't magically reach through the internet to get to Anaree either.

If a threat us to be considered valid you must first be able to prove that they thing the person is threatening could even happen. If I was to say (and this is just an example, NOT a threat) that I'm going to punch you... How would I go about doing that? I know nothing about you, or where you live. Not only that but I would have no way of getting to you to do said act.

So... my point is only ggr et law enforcement involved if it's necessary.

I honestly wish they would have kicked me, I didn't wanna leave and have the penalty, and imagine the next poor soul that would have gotten put in there.

If you join a group in progress you have the freedom to leave without a penalty, regardless of how many minutes have elapsed. I learned this the other day when I got brayflox 5 minutes in progress and was immediately assaulted by a mentor telling me the basics of the healing role. I left because he was condescending before any pulls were made and had no judgements about me except maybe he feels every healer is clueless!
