This is hilarious, I bet 90% of people vote w/o looking at character model. It's usually whoever is at the top of the list, or maybe what role they were, or by their performance in the dungeon, but usually just the tank at the top collects them all. Thats just me. ...

Pretty much this. Character Gender has little or no determination on commendation giving. It's probably primarily job based. Tanks/Heals get the most,

I don't believe this. My original character in this game was female and racked up more comms than I have on the character I now primarily play, and both runs through I played as a DPS. I think there's something to this study.

And to that end, I'll also add I'm currently at 2,594 commendations. Also you might want to recommend to your friend, since I believe this information is public, to look up the achievements that identify when a character left their starting city state to determine over what length of time each player accumulated the commendations.

Never look at race or sex when I give commendations. It's usually the other DPS for me or the tank if it has been a smooth quick run with lots of AoE and the healer if they've kept me from dying after a major screw up on my part.
