Survey: Community Opinions Regarding Parsing/Parsers in Final Fantasy XIV

Define "average player". When the spread is so wide the term doesn't have a lot of meaning.

Going forward I think we will have a better idea as to what they view as average. Though from how they have handled things so far I think they want to make savage content more accessible, and will shift to ultimate being the new form of hardcore endgame content.

So in your point of view, if someone wants to play his job perfectly, it has to be because he is a long time player who has nothing else to ? And he is a try hard losing nerves?

Does it really sound that weird that someone wants to max out his gameplay without being treated as a try hard who should go play another game ?

To be fair not many care if you personally want to play your job perfectly. Many of us in this very thread use ACT. Issue is what a lot of people are saying is asking for an official parser is a waste of breath. As long as Yoshi-P is still in charge of FFXIV I highly doubt he will ever forget the Koike incident and he will use that one case of bad apples to defend his position of no official parser.

Thankfully we have ACT, and I get that screws over console players and players that do not want to use third party programs though clearly SE has expressed they do not care. If those players truly wish to refine their play they will do it. We have options available to the community use them, while many may not be viable to some that is not SE's problem.
