How many subbed players since 2.0 feel this game has kept up with your maturation and expectations over the years as a gamer?

Been here since 2.0, most changes have been for the best but by now it is pretty obvious the game will simply repeat a formula from now on with each expansion and new set of jobs.

Started in the 2.0 era. Overall, I feel like the changes made since then have left a positive impact on the game.

I'm more worried about how the game will retain players as it ages, since the end-game model has pretty much stayed the same. I don't really think it needs a complete overall though, just some expansion of its concepts to flesh things out and give players some more choices.

To answer the question first, I am overall happy with how things have gone. I started in September of 2014, and since then many things have been added, much has been improved, and I am quite pleased with how it is going.

But I have also been here before. I started WoW in 2007 with the BC launch, and would describe BC and Wrath the same way as this game so far. Much added, much improved. Then Cataclysm happened. Still a lot of rad things, but there was just this underlying change. With no Arthas to drive the plot, the writers grabbed other loose ends and while some of it was still well done and I enjoyed it overall, it was a mark lower than Wrath. And then Pandaria. Pandaria was pretty. There were pandas. Not a lot else to say. And that was when I came to this game. My hope is that FF14 will hold onto good storytelling, as it has so far, in the face of time. I feel the real test for this game is beginning, and I eagerly look forward to see how they keep it going up to 5.0 and beyond. I am optimistic though, given how good the team is, and how hard they worked to successfully save this game once already. Should be good stuff, I hope.

Hmmm So we 1.0 Vets don't count? you really have no idea how much it has changed. Well just like in real life if your bored of the person you have been for 5 years, complain, and still stay with them it means to things... First you can't someone else ( so far not too many games out there that interest me ) or second you have no life what so ever and settle for the typical norm. (Go out have fun, RP online , ect ) Play FFXI or something else see what a grind really is....

Now in terms of aging online -.-....it's the power of light that keeps us young and lets not question it. Would be a pain to re incarnate and get all relics again.
