Well you should listen to her. She is a Polymath who knows all about coding, finances and the opinon of every Final Fantasy XIV player. She probably has a PhD in everything. No, five.
That's a big if. Do you really want a unique outfit for each class? Available at any given time?
Pretty sure the majority doesn't do that. Arrius was kind enough to provide exact numbers and he claimed the ideal is one per role.
For a game that touts being able to play all jobs on a single character, I feel that the very least they could have done is provide enough glamour-plates for each job. With the overhaul to come, I can't imagine 7 additional plates would have broken the system.
Kudos if you do, but the commitment of playing every job actively and having them roughly on the same gear level is something outside of the ordinary target audience SE goes for. It's like when you get the maximum of available (8) retainers for yourself and still have inventory problems.
Aside that, its new tech they go with and for now they just want to see if that design can handle the stress before improving it more.
But hey, at least they try.

Think I like old system better. Been nice if they just made it where could use any jobs gear glamour on another job. Like having whm outfit glamour on to a summoner's gear or have healer in full plate glamour.

Sorry, I do not know the social norms here, I just wont reply to insulting posts. I guess you are right since the next missed a point of mine:
Remember if someone really wants to put effort in thier jobs, BLM will not have the same set (spell speed focus) as RDM/SMN (no spell speed)Let's do some math...
If you want a unique outfit for each class...
And considering shared equipment, because that's what ends up happening.
Paladin/Warrior/Dark Knight
1 Using the current system leaving 2 Plates required.
White Mage/Scholar/Astrologian
1 using the current system leaving 2Plates required.
Dragoon
Doesn't share so can use the current system 0 Plates required.
Ninja
Doesn't share so can use the current system 0 Plates required.
Monk/Samurai
1 using the current system leaving 1 Plates required.
Black Mage/Red Mage/Summoner
1 using the current system leaving 2 Plates required.
Bard/Machinist
1 using the current system leaving 1 Plate required.
Fisher/Miner/Botanist
1 using the current system leaving 2 Plates required.
Armorer/Blacksmith/Alchemist/Carpenter/Culinarian/Weaver/Leatherworker/Goldsmith
1 using the current system leaving 7 Plates required.
That's a minimum of 17 plates just to have unique outfits for all the classes.
Not including any other possible use for those plates.
Same with MCH and BRD, BRD wants to go crit heavy, pretty sure MCH would want more DH
So the bare minimum is 15 , we should have that to start with, with a goal to have 30. 40 be nice for those that want to make use of some extra slots for lesser important things like rp/ town gear, etc.
I want to restate here, there are people that mix different unique gear/ crafted gear/ etc so each class has a different look right now.
Ideally we should have a system where we get an upgrade drop, it should be easy to upgrade everything, but it is an issue and takes some time if you upgrade a base glam (job without a plate) and you need move everything around like now. This is where and why we should have 30 sets. we have 26 jobs per character, we need a glam system to fit that, 200 items and 10 saved sets is not fitting for it.
I just think it should be kept in mind this is beta at best and we should keep pushing for improvements, and it handles dyes poorly on top of things.

Yes please handle it like an initial implementation, not a final. So for now.. enjoy the 10 and push for more later.. don't complain about not having 30 NOW.
.. how does this handle dye poorly? All I know is if you dye the thing before you put it in the dresser that's the color the costume plate will be... do you know how dyes work on the plates themselves? where did you read it? There's been very little posted about the entire process.
WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?
