It's a "nice to have" feature rather than a "must-have" or "must fix", so... it'll never happen. It's an embarrassing problem for a huge game like this to have since even shoddy games will adapt properly when you switch audio output while playing (well, most of them). Thank god my speakers have a headphone jack.
Good morning, and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
As stated above, the game uses the default audio device on PC, simply change the default audio device and the game will adapt.
We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
Mine now crashes the game if I even unplug/plug an ANALOG headset.............
The fact you cannot change sound sources in the game is a big pet peeve of mine. Nothing like having to restart just to change sources....Sometimes I just end up playing the game in silence...
"Within each of us, the potential for great power waits to be released."
Thanks guys Sorry use to wow having the options built right in to the game interface. I'll try that when i get home from work.
A quite baa echo's in the night.
