    Constant 9001 disconnects

    Greetings,

I am constantly getting disconnected from the server via 90001 errors (and sometimes 90002).

I play on PC with a wired connection directly to my modem. The disconnects happen multiple times throughout a play session and become especially frustrating when I'm 20 minutes into a queue. When i get disconnected I am booted back to Stormblood home screen (Start, Data center, movies, config, exit screen).

I've chatted with both my ISP and SE support and already tried the following:
    1) internet explorer customizations mentioned in other threads in this forum.
    2) Done port forwarding for ports 54992 - 55040
    3) compatibility settings

    I have a Hitron CGN3ROG modem.

This problem started back around mid-heavensward and i've ignored it for quite some time because you can log back in quickly. However when doing raids or trials, this is too detrimental so I've decided to try and address the issue.

This disconnect problem is not happening for any other games. I am not disconnected from any voice chat or other internet using applications when FFXIV boots me via 90001.

    help
    please

Hello Sayanoutakawaii, Thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Have you tried running the game with no other programs running simultaneously? Try going to the startup tab on the task manager and disabling all of the programs. Then restart your PC. This should start the PC without any background applications. Then run the game without any other programs (Discord, Pingzapper, Geforce Experience, etc.). It's possible that one of these programs may be interfering with the game just enough to disconnect you only some of the time.

Please let us know if this solves your issue so we can better assist other players who may have the same problem.

Thank you for playing Final Fantasy XIV! Hope to see you online.

I have now disabled all non essential programs from the computer start-up menu but unfortunately this has not solved my issue.

I also have the game on PS4, on which i get disconnected via 90002 errors at a much higher frequency.

Any other insight you can provide would be much appreciated.

Thank you and Happy New Year!

Good Morning and Happy New Year FancyP,

Have you tried contacting your ISP regarding this issue? Sometimes they might need to come out and check your equipment, maybe even provide new equipment.

Again, Hope to be of assistance.
