There's great ideas.. Revolutionary, then there's good ideas, then bad ideas, then there's this. For the sake of everything holy I don't wish to see 50 Noctis cars driving around in Gridania the next time I go for a hunt. Just how I personally feel

Wouldn't mind seeing this from FFXV into FFXIV where if you do visor it opens up top and closes shows you in the seat.

I'll never give up my desire for that bike NEVER! I don't have a girlfriend so I'd at least like a sweet ride to sooth my soul and if it makes irrational haters whine, even better!

Even with two-star speed the Falcon, currently our closest thing to a motorcycle, looks ridiculous because it doesn't move fast enough on the ground. Its only saving grace is the fact that it doesn't look like it's supposed to move all that fast on the ground anyway, but if we're given something like Cloud's bike or a car, it would be a shitshow of awkwardness. Cloud's bike is supposed to move at blazing speeds, but right now even with riding maps it would barely outstrip a Fisher-Price Power Wheels.
With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.
*from atop my magitek bipedal warmachine while exploring an ancient technological research facility filled with computers that function 5000 years later* guys come on cars and motorcycles are too futuristic for my fantasy setting cmon.
On a serious note as far as speed is concerned, I'm not sure people who want the bike actually care if it will look a bit slow and awkward. That same token doesn't seem to matter the other way: mount speed plus makes some mounts made to look more leisurely look silly too.

I'm at the point of saying who freaking cares if it looks awkward or not. I don't understand why people are using realism as a counter argument for not adding things like vehicle like mounts? Why care if it doesn't look fast? We have flying chairs and rocket powered turtles! By that logic the turtle should move faster than the bike! Who cares! Saying they all look awkward is a matter of opinion too tbh I mean the falcon mount looks fine to me IMOOOO even at one star speeds.

I think when people say they don't want things added that don't fit the setting, they're fully aware of the apparent anachronisms that already exist ingame. They just want the overall feel to remain consistent in style and flavor and not become diluted to the point that anything and everything can be thrown in cause "screw it". A late medieval/early industrial era with lost high technological past is a very common JRPG trope but what makes it work is consistency between most of the elements. What each player judges to be the break point will of course vary but is usually easy to see

If they changed them to be more Allagan-ish it would probably look ok.
Put some blue/green energy seams on it and it'll fit right in.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. As long as it looks suitable to the overall setting and fits established design choices from similar origins, it'll most likely be fine with the majority of players.

How about one of those Magitek Roader things from Castrum Abania and Ala Mhigo?
