The double-edged sword with secrecy is that people don’t know what to expect, so they either assume Diadem 3.0, or assume it’s going to be astounding. And I know, I know, “Don’t have any expectations and you won’t be disappointed”, but people out there have them. Can’t really change that. And both potentially spell disaster: Diadem 3.0 > low hopes for the content; Super Awesome Eureka > disappointment if it crashes and burns.

But, the more they continue to delay Eureka, and the less they tell anyone about it (other than how awesome and never-before-seen it’s supposed to be), the more people are going to get incredibly frustrated over it. So much so that, when it does come out, if it doesn’t absolutely blow people away, they will pick and pick until they dig up every fault with the content. No matter how small.

There's also factoring in how Diadem got forced out, crashed and burned, and wasn't until 3.5x for it to be properly re-released as something half-decent.
I can only hope the developers learned a lot from Diadem, 1.0 and 2.0. Neither were that great; 2.0 died nearly as quickly as 1.0 did once people got in there, did the EM a few times, and got the goodies. More interest was shown in Trials of the Matron, because it was a gatherer’s paradise when it came to scrips and old ARR timed nodes.

Just...I really hope Eureka isn’t full of FATEs. That’s the main thing I want: no FATEs. Please.
