    I'm just thinking back to some of the sadistic things I HAVE seen in casual dungeons. Trash pulls with mobs that inflict potent vulnerability down on the tank (easy way to ensure a speedrun pull kills the tank), DoTs combined with effects that drop HP to 1, stuff like that.

    A fight where every time a player is hit by an avoidable attack the boss regains 10% of their health and deals 10% more damage.

    Players also have to position meteors in specific spots during the fight and if they overlap when exploding the boss recovers all of their health.

    On topic: I'd like less adds, but the remaining adds should have some mechanics. Basically a dungeon of mini-bosses. If you chain pull the mobs, it'd comparable to difficulty in fighting a dungeon boss. And yes, dungeon bosses aren't exactly hard, but at least they have some level of being gimmicky so it's slightly interesting. Trash mobs now are just AoE spam fests and a total snooze.

    A long corridor like the Demon Wall fight in Ampador except much longer distance and you have to dodge Titan landslides the entire way and if you get hit you get knocked off and die and if even one person fails you have to start over from the beginning.

    all of the above, but with leave or vote abandon disabled, no shortcuts, and the exit portal is at the end of the jumping puzzle which the npc we kept alive forget to bring the mogstation key.

    Mobs that wipe the party if they were not killed within a certain time frame (Forcing people to AoE on trash pulls or use proper rotation on single target).

    Bringing back a low chance unrollable random dungeon drop as a part of the next relic.
    Making the mechanics math like in Sophia but actually tricky.
    Make a dungeon like one of those slow NPC escort quests where the healer has to keep the non-partylist AI that is thirsty for the sight of its own blood alive through the whole thing. One boss has a bleed/poison dot that can't be cleansed.
    Have a dungeon that has a choice between utter and pure nonstop gearbreaking chaos or the Shinra headquarters stairs.

    I think just having the 4 people have to split up and do something basic like kill 1 mob would be sadistic enough. Anyone whos played the new pvp mode would know, always one WHOLE party who will not do objectives at all, so I would not be surprised if 1/4 people dont know how to push a button (also trolls)

    a mechanic that forces your group to only do damage with one of the dps classes in your group at a time. alternatively, one that forces you to only do damage with one(specified) character of your group at a time. using some sort of tell to convey who would be important tho. perhaps Odin appears and changes into the tank(healer's turn to dps), the tank dps's healer, and if it mirrors the dps, the other dps has to dps it. penalty for not following this is a damage down debuff or something that outright makes it invulnerable. give it medium or low health and set an unusually short enrage timer.

    suddenly you have a wake-up boss for a light party dungeon.
