Except for the part where you're not supposed to resell a home for more than the original purchase price, otherwise you can be reported and face infractions.
On the other hand, my fc moved, and pretty much everyone and the fc got a house. VS just a small fc house on balmung.
And I'm happy for you! However encouraging rule breaking isn't the best way to encourage others to do the same. That's my point. Not that people shouldn't consider jumping ship.
Even without the encouraging of house flipping for such a high profit, the whole housing-situation could very well be a decent argument to leave Balmung (and has been for some people afaik) - like Valkyrie says: Its easier on other, smaller servers not to only replace the house thats lost on Balmung but even possibly upgrade it and/or get personal houses too. Even if most (if not all) houses should be gone on the smaller servers by now too, it will always be easier to get a house there - either once 4.2 hits (I dont trust the idea that its really gonna provide housing for all, I except more wards... but who knows? At that point the whole housing-argument might be done with anyways) or because of auto-demolition. As long as housing is limited, a smaller server will always mean better chances because of less competition.
And I'm, once again, not disputing that. At all. Just the rule breaking thing. If people want to leave and especially to get a house more power to them!Even without the encouraging of house flipping for such a high profit, the whole housing-situation could very well be a decent argument to leave Balmung (and has been for some people afaik) - like Valkyrie says: Its easier on other, smaller servers not to only replace the house thats lost on Balmung but even possibly upgrade it and/or get personal houses too. Please let this thread die with the rest of the balmung requests. OP has been answered, several times in detail why it's closed and why it will remain so until no longer necessary and has responded they think they are special and deserve special treatment. I'd rather see more spam about viera than this.
Thank you thank you thankyou for doing the legwork here AND typing it all out. People don't understand they're asking for blood out of an already dry turnip, this is the best breakdown I've seen in a while.
man this thread started out with what seemed like an honest question then quickly turned into a whiny "why aren't they moving the stars for me?!"
Balmung is the result of human nature and S-E's only fault is not stopping it quicker.
Every MMO has that one server that a bunch of people on a forum decided is going to be "the big one" in advance so it gets a larger initial player injection then new people see that server is bigger and for no other reason than wanting to be on the big server flock to it as well.
Most companies "fix" is just making the concurrent player amount small and the solution is "sure you can play on this server but your gonna sit in 2 hours of queue every time you want to log in" driving people away by simply making the experience horrible. Which then results in people finding ways to stay logged in permanently while afk, pushing the company to have to do a daily server reset to clean out all the afk people clogging the server and it just spirals into even worse
S-E is actually showing they care about the players QoL and protecting the current players on the server by trying to prevent that situation any way possible and using incentives to move servers rather than punishments for staying. They are honestly handling it better than most any other company would
