Why? Is there ever anything locked behind a full clear of AV that I'm unaware of? Just because you miss a bit of exp doesn't mean 3 other people should waste their time (likely their view of their situatuon if they wanted a speed run) with no real benefit.
Guess I'm a scumbag then!
A full clear in Aurum Vale with both a new tank and new healer (as in she's only just started playing the game and only reached 50 last night, and has never seen AV before at all) means a higher probability of a wipe which means longer time spent in there than just running through it as normal. Why should one person's wish for something that doesn't even have that big of a benefit outweigh the wishes of 3 other people? I could maybe see if that person were healer and they were confident that they could keep the newbies alive through a full clear, but I really don't think it's fair to throw a fresh healer into a full clear of AV with a new tank. And then what happens if you wipe and the other DPS leaves? Now you're waiting for another one and hoping they're ok with a full clear as well.
If the healer was fine with it (she wasn't) and the other dps was fine with it (they weren't) and I wasn't ok with it - we'd do a full clear. Majority rules. If it means we wipe a billion times because the healer is new and still learning, then we wipe a billion times. Otherwise, no - sorry. If you want a full clear, put up a PF or ask some friends or your FC.
Canadian, eh!"When someone told me I live in a fantasy land, I nearly fell off my unicorn"
AV is a masterpiece of leveling dungeon.
Tanks need learn how to pull, healers need learn how to heal, and dps must do their job with an eye to their positioning. I want one hundred more dungeons like Aurum Vale.
The people saying "it's easy, my synced group steamrolled it in a bunch of minutes" have completely missed the point it is a leveling duty. Do it at 47, and geared with just 4 pieces of artifact armor and shitty right side because, you know, all chests on leveling duties are skipped and chances to gear the right side is near zero for a new character. And no new player is killing the few seals or spend the few Gil they have, to buy accessories they know will be trashed a couple hours later.
And, it is the best duty ever to get from 47 to 50 lightspeed if you have a tank in party willing to queue with you.
Nope, that is wrong.
The only thing that "should be" followed, is the request let the plants hatch, outside that your wasting time for no reason.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH yes it does, very much so, esp if a dps is new, there is no way I am sitting in a DF for 30+ minutes to do a full clear because people take 2-4 mins to kill a pull. If you want to throw DPS queues in the mix for argument, then I can counter with, faster clearing means you queue for the next faster and more time to do fates, te exp gain for full clear is worthless.
If 3/4 wanted full clear and took 2-4 mins per pull, I would leave because leaving and eating the penalty at that point would net me more gain at the end of the day, then trying to deal with that.
No idea if full clear gives anything, but i think there is a minion chest in there somewhere that gets missed a lot.
It is after the first morbol on the main route, you can't miss it.
The only thing is the drop of the minion out of this chest is RNG based, so sometimes it drops and somtimes you get a potion or ether.
good to know. I've only ever seen it the first time i ran AV when I got it. And i have no memory of where it was.
