    Huh?
If we're talking about the SB AF and not the HW ones (because people apparently refer the i90 AF1 as AF2) the WHM set for males is its own different design.

Speaking of that, they should do that more often. The WHM AF3 does a good job of making the designs for both genders different and fair. Some sets however just don't make it fair when it comes to males.

It's definitely an improvement over the AF2 which was practically a nun's uniform, but they still have a ways to go, in my opinion.

I love the stereotypical 'archer/ranger' aesthetic. It's a real shame that this game lacks it once you hit level 30 on ARC and equip a BRD job crystal. If people like that aesthetic, fair enough - but I don't bother with BRD, SCH or WHM due to how effeminate some of the gear designs and animations can be. It's also something that plagues many of the 'dance' emotes - they're very effeminate on male characters and calls for something a bit more moderate have so far fallen on deaf ears.

I'd hate it if they 'nerfed' the dances you're talking about. Not every dance can be the Sundrop or Moonlift dances, some dances will be the Near Eastern/Thaivnairian one. And then we have things in the middle like the Gold Dance. Amusingly I'd say this is one of the things where female charas got the short end of the stick because this is one area where if guys want to be gentler, they can, while apparently for some dances, like the Sundrop one, women lose the ability to bend their knees and are limited to waving their arms around. Even the Vanu Vanu natives.

They shouldn't remove stuff that exists already, or alter it. Yet throwing male characters a bone every now and then with more emotes that take their gender and societal norms of masculinity into account would be appreciated.

And while that might be your preference, I'm more than satisfied with the BRD AF3 set and my casters are currently rocking the Yafaemi disco-mage set. But I agree that adding more things, adding more variety, is a must. And preferably it won't be just recolored versions of things we already have in the game, that's getting old >_>

Its simple realy, Square Enix only has to follow these 3 rules when creating outfits for this game:

    1. When creating an outfit for female avatar (free, mog station or promotion item), create a outfit also for the male avatar.

    2. When creating outfits for both genders, alternate the styles, 1 patch we will see a masculine outfit, the other time a feminine one, one time we get sexy revealing outfit and another time we get covered up from head to toe. Apply this for both genders.

    3. Details matter, so many male outfits lack the details that we see put into female outfits, so when creating outfits for both genders, give them equall love or give those with male avatars a discount on their subscription fee....jk......

If SE follows these rules, majority of players should be pleased. Afcourse there are those that wish to crossdress, but I can not see SE opening up all curent outfits for the other gender. According to Yoshida creating sexy outfits for male avatars, made the developers uncomfortable, I wonder how they would feel, if they imagined my Roebro in a Edda's outfit (My roe would slay that look ), so I think the best thing is for SE is to first focus on giving both genders the same treatment.

I guess. (but to be honest, WHM isn't really the big, manly boy Job)

While looking at giving more stuff to guys, cos we need it, also look at giving girls some damn tattoos! the tattoo on the monk set, and moonfire set disappears on ladies, and they dont have the south seas talisman tatts. I know while my gf gets plenty of clothing choices, being able to dip into male sets as well, unless she plays summoner she's more limited on tattoo choice than me
