I now know I am a coward.

Its okay man. I too, wait until we finish the dgn before I have to say stuff. Recently I had an expert run in Skalla where the tank did not use a single defensive cooldown from start to finish. To his credit, he pulled small which served me fine but I was annoyed like there was no tommorow. How do you go from the start to all the way to the finish as a tank and not even use rampart? In his case, he was DRK so I should've seen at least Shadow Wall but nope, not even that.
Once we cleared, I told him this: " (Name here) you didn't use a single defensive buff from start to finish. You might want to rethink how you tank for future runs".

Without giving him any time to respond, I left. I don't know how he took it but I just hope whatever he tanks in the future, he'll remember his DRK comes with a Shadow Wall button. Oof.

Queued for leveling roulette with my WAR and got Halatali. Would have preferred Quarn at this level but it is not bad, Halatali is quick and painless dungeon, right?

Well, first sign of trouble: Catlady + Catboy with same last name. We already know from the countless stories on this thread that "couples" can be a recipe for disaster.

Yeah, the Catlady, which was a Bard and had a mentor crown on, kept consistently pulling mobs before I could get to them since she had superior range. It was very annoying because this aggros the whole pack, which starts moving around before I even get to them, and I don't have my tank stance at this level.

After this happens a few times I ask her to stop doing that, to which she only responds with a /soothe directed at me and keeps pulling stuff ahead. Great, now this mentor just signaled they are making a conscious effort to be a prick.

Aside from that BRD, and the Catboy WHM pulling the winches ahead making lightning sprites spawn so I have to go fetch them in addition to the mobs I already pulled, the run is going fine. These two are just doing their best to be annoying.

We get to the final area, where there is just a monster on the corridor upwards and 2 (I think, if you avoid the Bomb) other monsters to the side of the corridor that leads to the boss and the BRD obviously pulls them all ahead of me.

"Eh, whatever" I think, this is one of the easiest pulls in the dungeon, they signaled this whole time that they can take care of themselves. I go down the corridor and wait for them to finish fighting that by the door to the final boss arena.

Somehow this must have triggered the BRD or the WHM very hard, because when they got to the boss arena about 30 seconds later they didn't went past the door and vote kicked me out of the dungeon.

I check the contact list, all from the same server. Do a quick lodestone search, all from the same FC.

Kicking me out of the dungeon for petty revenge, at the door to the last boss, after being disruptive the whole run, and by abusing your 3-man pre-made powers? Yeah, enjoy the report for griefing and vote kick abuse.

But the icing in the cake is that the "couple" are high rank officers in their FC, and said FC has a website where they state the FC policies, including the following one:

"-First and foremost, our fc policy is to treat others with respect, patience, and kindness. This extends to anyone on the server."

I'm even on the same server as them, oh the irony!

I would like to finish this post by thanking GM Fennratth for swiftly contacting me after I filled the report, for his kind and professional atitude, and for being serious about investigating players "who choose to behave in such an ill manner as it is very rude and disruptive."

Oh good god. This run... this run was just... special. Before I go into a bit of detail, I come offering pictures!



When available translated into literally all at once. I spent several moments just watching her bar—as did my friend who was co-healing with me. At one point, she popped Sentinel, Bulward and Hallowed Ground, all at once. This wasn't a one off either, but nearly every single instance she was spamming them. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when I saw her treating Awareness like it's a Sheltron. We then get this little gem...



She actually used Hallowed Ground as the off tank when Alliance C's Warrior finally had enough and took over. She tried to Provoke back but promptly died by, you guessed it, eating yet another tank buster with zero cooldowns.

If it only ended here though. Alas, there is more to this glorious Rabanastre run. We wiped to every boss except Argath. The first wipe came during Mateus when the three snake adds were flying all over the place because our tank and Alliance A's currently maintain aggro or position them without markers. That wasn't the worst of it all those. We wiped to Hashmal twice thereafter when Alliance A couldn't meet the DPS check on their Dust Sphere. At one point, I had to mad dash over and blow Assize and Stone IV spam their Sphere or it would have exploded again. When we did finally kill Hashmal, myself, our MCH and another DPS all had to help kill them.

The same thing occurred later with Rofocale. I even stepped into their encasement during the three add phase and watched the BLM do absolutely nothing. It, again, took several people leaving their own alliances down players just to kill the bloody thing. I felt a little bad for the healer who actually asked in alliance chat if people could come help because they had lost faith. Their SMN, meanwhile, had the audacity to get salty after I said I'll help because I'd previously mentioned they need to stop dying to everything. Just... what a run.

I did get a good laugh though when we eventually kicked the aforementioned tank, and her friend chimed in. The MCH was having none of her nonsense and immediately put up a second vote dismiss saying outright "you can get outta here too!" I have to imagine they were just as fed up as we all were by that point.

Report the Mentor......GM's don't take kindly to mentor badged people doing that.

I really get mad when anyone and everyone except the tank pull aggro.....the only time I overlook it is if its a private/trusted party where we know what we are doing....like I go pull aggro and bring it BACK to the tank....reckless..but at least I'm bringing it back. But your's takes the cake.

This was a few days ago, but I want to say that if anyone recognizes me from the Rabanastre run I healed through I, think, in Alliance C. I am so sorry that was a mess. I queued for it without realizing I was wearing my AST stuff and it popped right away, I clicked commence and only then realized "uh wait what?" But, rather than abandon, I figured I could handle it.

I could not.

Please forgive me for dying a bajillion times on the bosses after Matheus. *cries* I absolutely tried my hardest.

Edit: ALTHOUGH the one time we entirely wiped on Hashmal, I couldn't help. Another alliance brought their stack marker to us and neither my co-healer SCH nor myself can shield through both of those lol Every other time I died, yeah that was me trying to avoid dying, unsuccessfully.

Sounds like the run I had last night, except I was in A and we were the only ones that didn't have constant death(even one of our MNKs who was brand new to the duty, but had watched a video - they died once or twice until the final boss, where they died 3 times...that's it). Between the two SCH in my alliance, and myself on RDM, we raised C so much that I was constantly below 1k MP, and Lucid was on constant CD. Though, we did have one person leave our alliance during the final boss fight, and we got a replacement SAM to compliment our other SAM(though they got a free kill in since they were locked out).

Well, now I found a red mage in Quarn who'd use the sword until their TP was out. Maybe two of the sword strikes in a set were enchanted. *confused*

I decide to run POTD to level my SAM I only have dps left to level and it's the only thing still under 60. I had mostly good runs last night, even 91-100 with all dps that went well. (In the past I had a group so sure we couldn't do it that they went out of their way to wipe us.)

I decide to run to 100 again and I get mostly good groups (one BRD that pulls things for no reason when we are all in the portal... But whatever...)

I get to 91-100 again it's a completely different group than the one I had run into for most of my queues. We have a healer and three dps. The NIN is 99/99 just like me, and the other two still need silvers, but for some reason the NIN is going out of their way to go into other rooms and pull more even though the portal is lit. So I ask why. I would understand if they were hunting for silvers but there was no reason.
I believe we are three floors in and this floor has 6+ rooms, I am ready to go to the next floor. They reply to tell me they are hunting for hoard.

Really???

I queued thinking that this would be faster than waiting for a dungeon queue but it's not gonna be.

I am close to leaving but we go to the next floor, whatever.

Everyone else goes for one room and I sneak through to find the portal room and start killing mobs to open it. Next thing I know they are dragging mobs into that room too.

The NIN looks like the are heading for the next room, and I am rolling my eyes as I help with the mobs.

Then a luring trap is triggered.

The other SAM is on the floor, and the AST takes all the aggro with aoe heals and then they are on the floor too.

Some of the mobs reset, but I still get aggro on a few, and then I am on the floor too.

The NIN is left with aggro on one mob but then they bite the dust too.

I am so annoyed.

Hope that hoard hunting was worth the waste of time...

Of all the times to do that floor 91-100 with it's glorious bad rng and two players that still have their padjali weapons.

Dps dungeon queues would have been a better idea.

Ah yes, the good ole PotD player that utterly fails at putting things into perspective. 91+ is not the floor you want to waste time looking for stuff like hoards. They had 51-80 to do this, with 81-90 pushing it. Rather than look at the big picture and think " better to clear these dangerous floors as cautiously and quickly as possible so that I can go back to the easier floors and farm what I need to farm", they precipitate their own wipe by doing this exact kind of stupid thing the NIN does. I've had too many of those tunnel vision players in PotD and its part of the reason why I would rather wipe as early as possible and be in another group. It might seem callous but I've had too many nightmarish runs were I've wiped at floors 97-99 because of someone's desperate need to snatch a chest or hoard from a room full of dragons and zombie ogres.
