While I'm all for clearing some of the clutter on DRG, the biggest issue of this proposition is, that you will be able to pre-gain 3 eyes before boss fight, kicking of Life of The Dragon right at the start of fight at you leisure - most likely ~3 GCDs after pull, when all the party buffs trigger and then making 2 Nastronds under effect of those cooldowns (Litany, Trick Attack, etc, etc).If Blood of the Dragon is lost, keep all stacks that have been gained and when you turn BotD back on those stacks are still there waiting. You should not be able to gain more stacks or execute Nastrond without being in BotD (even with 3 stacks, need that BotD on). This change wouldn't break anything and would put DRGs on par with how other gauges and resources work.
I'll be more in favor of getting access to (building) LoTD faster, than having it waiting for you half-baked indefinitely.
This situation already exists for MNKs Forbidden Chakra, NINs Ninki skills, SAMs Midare Setsugekka, Hissatsu: Guren & Shinten, BLMs Foul, RDMs melee combo, or SMNs Dreadworm Trace or Summon Bahamut.
Nothing that other jobs don't already have.
Its something I would love. For dungeons it would be fantastic as I always seem to get the tank who wants me to lose my eyes. For savage content it would just be nice as not having your 4th/5th combos line up before a boss invulnerability is a pain.
Eyes falling off just feels like me fighting my class, not the enemies.
Yea it's super annoying and noticeable in V4s so my only issue is sometimes I forget to hurry up and recast BOTD at certain times to keep up BOTD but if I have to use lb3 rip to BOTD since it cancels combos before the 4th tier




This is random but does Life Surge ensure the DoT from Chaos Thrust is also Critical? I know a Ninja will have every tick from their Doton AoE be Critical if they use Kassatsu beforehand.
I was always under the impression that this wasn't the case with Kassatsu, I'll have to check that for myself. Likewise I always have believed the initial hit from CT would crit but not the DoT when using Life Surge. I'll have to test a dummy to find out for sure.
