If it could be better, then it helps to give feedback on how it could be better. Only saying it could be better but not specifying how is not constructive. Giving feedback does not mean one is totally unhappy with getting free space.
Also, it doesn't matter how long it took WoW to make a transmog log. What matters is that they (and other games too) have it now and that is the new standard. Businesses compete in real time and if a game is several years behind on QoL features then we have every right to remind them to pick up the pace.

You save 10 ensembles all up, like 10 favorite outfits. Not per role. 10 for to make do across 15 battle jobs and 11 doh/dol jobs. Only 10.

Bleh thank you for clarification..Yeah that's not that great. My idea per job or per role would solve so many issues, specially per job.

Finally, someone who appreciates that SE is at least trying. The 200 additional inventory at the very least will allow you to free up 1 retainer, or lessen the load across all your retainers depending on how you decide to allocate the space. On top of that we are getting a walking retainer with 70 slots and stacks increased to 999. But nope, "That's not what we asked for SE!" Ummmm, yes it is. We've been demanding increased inventory since ARR.
They stated that changes to the glamour system was coming, they never said we were getting a glamour log, but many people just went ahead and assumed, or placed high hopes that is what they were giving us. No matter how you want to look at things, at the end of the day players will choose to focus on what we don't have rather than what we do. It's saddening, and I would hate to be a dev under that kind of pressure.
This new system is far from perfect, but this is the same team that took the failure that was 1.0 and turned it into what we have today, no? It's really awesome that we have a playerbase that is passionate and wants the game they enjoy most to be even better. I believe everyone's heart is in the right place, and I understand the frustration. But we need to cut these guys some slack. This is their first implementation of a new system, and we're already slamming it before it is even made available.

I appreciate all these changes a lot btw, they're doing their best. Criticism is still good so that they can have goals to go for, things can always change in the future. How far if ever is up to them but it's good to add some opinions.
The problem I think is when people think their opinion is law and absolute.
Like I want disciple of land/hand gear to be used by any role but I know that's an opinion and I leave it to Yoshida and his team to think about. This is the approach everyone should take.
Just so we are all on the same page, here is what we know about the new Commode Glamour System:
-The Commode System will NOT be replacing the current Glamour system, we will have both.
-You can place up to 200 items total into the Commode.
-Once you put an item in the Commode, it is now gone and cannot be used as equipable gear ever again.
-When putting an item in the Commode, it will cost you 1 Glamour Prism.
-All Glamour Prisms will be condensed into one universal Glamour Prism.
-Items that can be put in the Armoire can NOT be put in the Commode.
-You can create and save up to 10 outfits (Ensembles) using items in the Commode and/or the Armoire.
-Putting on an ensemble will be cost free.
-Empty gear slots in an Ensemble will use what items your character has currently equipped/glamoured-on.
-Ensembles may be used in Cities, Inn Rooms, Residential Areas, and the Ivory Chapel.
-As of 4.2, only Inn rooms will have the Commode item in them but they are planning to release them at a later date.
-You can Dye Ensemble items and it will be saved to that Ensemble.
-Items will still follow Job and Role restriction.
-Yoshi P said they might add more Ensemble slots when the demand is high and the time is right.

I'm looking forward to the Commode, while I was hopeful for a glamour log I wasn't expecting it, and the Commode is not a glamour log in any way... it's a way for us to bypass the 1 glamour per piece of gear rule, so that we can now glamour our jobs to have different appearances.
The 10 ensembles is also enough to make it so each Job gets a separate glamour, the old glamour system is not being removed.
Use old glamour system for 1 Tank, 1 Healer, 1 Magic DPS, 1 Ranged DPS, Mnk or Sam, Drg, Nin. Then use new glamour system for 2 tanks, 2 healers, 2 magic dps, 1 ranged dps, and Sam or Mnk. Which would leave you with 2 ensembles, which i plan to use make my gatherers look different.
Do I want a glamour log? Yes it's the most wanted thing I want in this game, but I also understand that devs are constantly under a lot of pressure to put out new content, and honestly wouldn't expect for them to have the time or resources to implement something as massive as a glamour log into this game until another expansion rolls around.

If these points are true, I have some serious issues with the system.
1. Ensembles don't use gear from your bags, so you only get 200 unretreavable items + Armoire to make ensembles with. The excited people who fill up their Commode on day 1 will not be able to make ensembles with future glamour gear without destroying some of their older collection already in the Commode.
2. You cannot use a piece of gear both in ensembles and as normal glamour at the same time, unless it's an Armoire item. For example, if you put the maid outfit in the Commode, then you can't glamour your tank gear to maid while your Paladin is wearing the AF armor ensemble.
3. The limit of 10 ensembles puts a permanent limit on how you can mix and match the 200 items put in the Commode. Once you have made 10 outfits (some of which may be partial), then the rest of the items are unusable as glamour. Assuming 6 items per outfit and a full Commode, you are restricted from using 140 glamour items you own across all your jobs and classes at any given moment.
For these issues to not become a reality we should absolutely get an option to convert Commode items back to regular gear. Otherwise I only see myself using it for gear I can easily obtain again and job specific gear (because you want those to be glamoured "on top" of your role glamour).

From the first slide
From the second slideItems converted to glamours can no longer be used as equipment.
I might have to change my You can change what Ensemble you are wearing where ever you want, because the slide says you can use Ensembles in Cities, Inn Rooms, Residential Areas, and the Ivory Chapel.Use glamours from your commode and items in your amoire to create ensembles, which can then be applied to your character.
